I have recently updated my iPhone 6S plus, my mother’s iPhone 6S plus, my step father’s iPhone 6 and my old iPhone 5S from iOS 9.3.3 to iOS 10. When I updated these iPhone devices to iOS 10 I was in awe, because Apple finally will be giving us the software that we have looked forever or wished that there were certain features or a different ways that our iPhone can offer and how did I update to iOS 10 when I said that Apple finally will be giving us the iOS 10 for all of our Apple mobile devices? Because iOS 10 is not out yet but as always Apple offers early releases for anyone who want to beta test which that means the iOS 10 is in public beta phase, while that it is being beta phase the iOS 10 public beta is not perfect and finalized as it is what the beta is all about so that we can test for them as new features they adds. For example iOS 10 Public Beta 1 comes with let’s say, 30 new features then we test these features so that if we ever find anything wrong with these features or find any errors in iOS 10 then we report them for them so that they can correct the errors then once they do so they will release another beta version such as iOS 10 Public Beta 2 which is the current as of now where they corrected the problems while at the same time added another more 30 features for us to check to make sure that everything is all well or if not then we report them to Apple to let them know what is wrong with certain features and then they release another beta version such as iOS 10 Public Beta 3 which I believe will be the last version of beta phase before they officially release the perfect iOS 10 to everybody in the fall.
As I said that the current version is the iOS 10 Public Beta 2 so it’s almost finished as they are getting closer to complete the iOS 10 for everybody although they will have one more or possibly two more beta phases to go although traditionally they only do three versions before releasing the official new iOS generations.
Any of you can have the iOS 10 now, but you have to remember that there may be some errors and that it’s not finished with full list of features because they aren’t finished with adding more features which that is why they release each beta versions with few additions per beta versions so to make sure that they are not missing any errors out but if they did then it is our job to report them to the Apple so that they can correct them and while at the same time offering us iOS 10 they allows us to watch new features coming in each phases as if we are taking in the part of making sure that the iOS 10 will have no issues for everybody when they step out of beta phase with an official iOS 10 version. What is nice about that is that they offer us to try the iOS 10 for them is that we get to personally suggest any features that we think they should add to the official iOS 10. Nonetheless if you don’t want to try the iOS 10 then you are definitely missing out because the iOS 10 is a HUGE change than any other iOS they made because in iOS 10 so far features that they have now is a complete new designs of contacts, completely new iMessage (text messaging), completely new photos app and a completely new Apple Maps which is so much better than they have ever made.
What I love about the iOS 10 so far, as I said that you have to remember that iOS 10 beta isn’t completed so that means all the features isn’t on iOS 10 yet so as far as I have used the iOS 10 I was in awe to see huge list of features that they have ever did for the iOS than they have ever did before and they aren’t even completed! If you want to give iOS 10 a try, you must keep an eye for every new iOS 10 public beta versions they releases as right of now they are at iOS 10 public beta 2 so next one will be iOS 10 public beta 3 and then when they releases the final official iOS 10 out they will send us an update on our devices where it tell us to update to the official iOS 10 so to get out of the beta into the full-blown, packed features and beautifully design official iOS 10!
iOS 10 Features and Designs
I know I have repeated this because I want you to be absolutely aware that the iOS 10 public beta 1, 2 and 3 is not a complete iOS 10 because from the beginning of the beta such as iOS 10 public beta 1 they only came with a few features then recently they released the iOS public beta 2 which comes with a much more features so in the next one public beta 3 will be practically a ready iOS 10 with pretty much all of features but the only reason that it’d still be in beta is because so that we (us and Apple) can make sure that there won’t be any errors or problems in the iOS 10 before they releases it as an official iOS 10.
iMessage
iMessage has completely changed, especially the functions and the features inside the iMessage app. Because now since this is iOS 10 public beta 2, you can send balloons, fireworks, shooting star and other screens along with your own text messages. Perfect for when you text somebody to wish somebody a happy birthday and while doing so send it with balloons then when that person opens the iMessage it will shoot up balloons on this person’s entire screen with a text of yours saying happy birthday! You can also send an invisible ink in text where you can text saying anything that you might not want somebody else to see but this person’s own eyes, as you know when you text that someone it would show some parts of what you said on their iPhone notifications but not anymore because you can send an invisible ink text which when you text that person with the invisible ink feature it will show up a very blurred text on the person’s iPhone notifications and only time the person can see what you were saying in the text is if the person unlock its iPhone then touch the text on the screen for the blurry to clears up. There are so much that you can do with iMessage and what I mean by that is that when you want to record a video or take a picture that usually it would show you the camera on the entire screen but no more because now it will show your camera at the bottom of the iMessage! Also it has the features where you can draw while recording a video or draw a picture that you have taken inside the iMessage app and it offers GIF too along with iMessage’s own apps such as different emojis or other stuff so iMessage app have its own apps that you can download for the iMessage!
So much more but these are the best parts and there are another one but you will have to see it for yourself!
Contacts
The contacts book app on iOS have completely changed too, before it would just show you a basic information and almost cluttered but that isn’t the case anymore for the iOS 10! Because in iOS 10 contacts book now have their own buttons underneath the person’s picture inside the contacts book such as Call, Text, FaceTime, Email and others! The contacts book for the iOS have just got much easier and much more simpler.
Photos
Whoa! The photos app have changed completely as you know before in the iOS where it shows you albums vertically inside the photos app right? That has changed! In the photos app have completely redesigned as now it comes in grids where it will show you two albums vertically and categorically. Also its Photos app now offer a new feature called memories and people. The memories name pretty much says it all, it’s where if you are going on a vacation going to Myrtle Beach in North Carolina then it will automatically adds a new album calling Myrtles Beach and puts all the pictures in there that you have taken pictures at the Myrtle Beach so to make it easier for you to track. Also it now offers people where, let’s say if we took a picture of ourselves both then it will automatically detects me in there and shows you my name in there, not only that if you have taken a few pictures of me then you click my name in there it will show you pictures that has me in it!
Clock
The clock app have changed too, as before it was white but now it’s black and it offers a new feature to the app called “Bed Times” I believe where you can adjust what time you go to bed and what time you get up so that it will do the job to let you know when it’s time for you to go to bed or alert you to let you know that it’s time to wake up. Also let you select what days such as Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It’s a fantastic and very helpful feature for the clock’s app, also at the same time it will add the data to your health’s app to let you know how much you’ve slept or how much you have been awake so to help you to monitor your sleep activity to let you aware if you aren’t getting the right amounts of sleep.
Maps
The Apple Maps have been declared that it’s becoming a better maps app than Google maps for the iOS because it’s using several services into one such as Tom Tom, Germini, Google’s own mapping service and other mapping services into one so to make sure that it gives you the most accurate information. It also offer you a quick search for cheap gas, where to get foods, where’s the party is, where your friends is, planning an event with your friends at what location and many of others. Now the new completely designed Apple Maps offer a new feature calls “Ride” which I haven’t tried yet but I will assume that it’s for getting a ride from the available services in wherever you are at such as taxi, uber or others so pretty much it does the job of finding you a ride basically. The looks of the Apple Maps is much different, much more easier, much more beautiful and faster than ever along with much more accuracy which is unbelievable since that they have added different mapping services into one to give you as accurate information as it can get.
Notifications
The notifications feature have completely changed too, in this is somewhat hard for me to explain or describe because there are so much features being put in the notifications feature in the iOS 10. So I will leave that part to you for you to get a better understanding of it but the bottom line is that the notifications in iOS 10 has been completely changed with packed features than it has ever offered before for the iOS which is simply amazing.
News
As in iOS 9 they started offering news straight from your Apple devices, in iOS 9 the news app is practically brand new so it bounds to be changed as they came up with more ideas down the road which they have and the bottom line is that the news app is what it is except that it has a new design while has more features to it as well including a subscription feature in the news app so that you can subscribe to a news service like New York Post or different ones that offer subscription.
Health
Health App have changed as well, finally they have decided to add the wheelchair in that health app because the health app is connected to your iPhone and to Apple watch so that if anyone is in wheelchair then it confuses the Health App into thinking that the distance they actually have walked when they never even walked so they fixed that problem now. Now with the wheelchair feature it added another feature where it will show their activity of pushing the wheelchair themselves so that’s very useful tool and not only that they also have added more features such as breath where it will teach you when to breathe to improve your breathing or such.
Bottom Line
The bottom line is what is most impressive and exciting features SO FAR as it’s in beta for iOS 10 is the iMessage, Photos app, Contacts app, Maps app and the new redesigned notifications with much more features than it have ever offered in all of older versions of iOS. I have true tested iOS 10 Public Beta 2 to tell you that there are no major problems in it, it’s practically looks as if it’s finalized but not even close as they are still adding more features, correcting any errors that people have reported them to Apple and one more public beta version they will be releasing soon in a few days which will come with much more features, better things and much more smoother. It is already smooth as it can get now so once they have smooth it out it’s going to be amazing iOS they have ever built. So if you are interested in iOS 10 then I can tell you that it’s safe but only as long as you follow the instructions that Apple gives you such as doing a backup for your iPhone so that way once your iPhone have been updated to iOS public beta 2 that your contacts information and other important data will be ready in there. Or if the updating goes wrong such as an interruptions then you can safely roll back and try again.
How To Update iOS 10 Public Beta 2?
First before I even get into this, as Apple instructs please backup your iPhone to iCloud before you even begin updating. This update to iOS 10 beta public 2 is coming from Apple directly as you will be going to Apple’s own website to download the iOS 10 public beta 2 and once it has been downloaded then you go to your settings then go to general then go to update software from there you will see iOS Public Beta 2 waiting for you to install. To start all you have to do open your Apple device’s own internet browser, Safari and no it cannot be from any other internet browsers app like Firefox or Chrome as it must be Safari. Type beta.apple.com (or click it if you view this in Safari) in the browser’s address bar then from there read carefully and look for “Enroll In Beta Program” then click on that then it will show you a download button where you will click on it then it will begin downloading and then it will ask you to restart your iPhone. Once it have been restarted, you go to your settings then go to general and go to update software from there you will see the iOS Public Beta 2 waiting for you. You will absolutely love it, if you have already love your iPhone then you definitely will fall in love with your iPhone even more because my step father doesn’t use his iPhone as much until two days ago when I had updated his iPhone to iOS Public Beta 2 and he’s glued to it. I don’t blame him because that is the same way for me as I don’t text much but now I do more than anything because of the new iMessage features that it has come with so far such as drawing, recording a video while drawing on the video and the new text features such as screens or stuff like invisible ink.

Remember that it’s in beta version, so in few days you should be seeing a new update calls “iOS Public Beta 3” and that should be the final beta iOS 10 update then in Fall it will show you another update on your iPhone to update out of beta into the official iOS 10. So imagine all the features that you are seeing in this video that it has now and think of how much more features they will be adding in the next beta version then complete it with few more features in the official iOS 10! Like wow, right?!
