Wal-Mart Today Pickup Sucks!

I had hard finding a TV shows DVD that was released on the 6th of this month, September which that was two days ago as when I sent my mother to Wal-Mart to get me the TV show DVD and she couldn’t find it anywhere at the Wal-Mart here even though on their website says they are in stocked. Even inside at the Wal-Mart, it said that it has three in stock and we had employees looking all over for the TV shows DVD for me but couldn’t find any which this was on the first day of the release and then the next day I sent my mother back there to see if there were any in stock but there weren’t so my mother asked one of their employee again then the employee had the supervisor to search for it to double-check that the employee didn’t miss anything. Of course the supervisor said that they couldn’t find it, they have said that even though it said it has three in stock but couldn’t find any and said that it could means that three of them were stolen. The TV shows DVD that I have been tirelessly searching for is The Flash Season two, I must have that TV shows DVD as it is my favorite comic’s character of all the time along with Green Arrow and Batman. Nonetheless after three attempts to try to get the TV shows DVD at Wal-Mart, I had no such luck but on the Wal-Mart website said that they has some in stock and that if I am to order The Flash season two online that I would pick it up on today which is their new feature along with shippingpass which is almost same as Amazon Primewhere you can get your item in two days at one fee every year. Since Wal-Mart online said that it has some in stock, after few failed attempts to get The Flash season 2 DVD so of course I decided that I immediately buy it as it said it is in stock and that I would be picking it up today within’ four hours. Excited about that. So when I ordered, it stated that my today pickup of The Flash season 2 DVD would be ready in no more than four hours so I timed it and wait for four hours to pass by so I could head over to the Wal-Mart here to pick up The Flash season 2 DVD for once of all. It said that I would be picking up at 7:47pm today on September 8th, so I was looking forward to that confirmation email because you must have a confirmation paper to let them know that it is you who ordered it and for them to give your item which is a common thing as a proof that you purchased it.

I looked at the clock, it said 7:50pm so I checked my e-mail, seen nothing from Wal-Mart so I figured that maybe they were busy or something so I decided to give it a little time so I waited for another hour then recheck for the confirmation email and so did I but again I didn’t get a confirmation email from Wal-Mart an hour passed the estimation. So I got concerned, so I waited a few more minutes and kept staring at the order status at Wal-Mart website hoping that it would say that it is ready for a pick-up.

So I waited another thirty minutes, thirty minutes passed, I rechecked my email to see if they have sent a confirmation email and they never did so I got more concerned. So this time I decided to make a call about that, I told them that it is said that I would be picking The Flash season 2 DVD today which is advertised on Wal-Mart website even before I ordered it so of course if it says that I could pick up The Flash season two DVD today then that means I should be doing so but that isn’t the case as the customer service over at Wal-Mart said in somewhat childish voice saying that just because on Wal-Mart website says four hours is the maximum estimation doesn’t means that it is really four hours. If it said at least four hours until I get my confirmation email to say that it is ready for a pickup then they should have already sent me a confirmation email and I should be already by now owning The Flash season two DVD right? Nope. As if the Wal-Mart here is doesn’t follow what the Wal-Mart website is advertised, such as if an item says it can be pickup today then it should be ready for you to pickup today and that’s that. It doesn’t says tomorrow, it doesn’t says any other dates as all it says “pickup today” and that is what I expects as any customers would from Wal-Mart. The Wal-Mart here doesn’t seem to follow what the Wal-Mart website advertised, if it doesn’t then I suggest that the supervisor or manager to be fired and replaced with someone who will do what the Wal-Mart website says since the Wal-Mart website is managed directly at Wal-Mart headquarter. See? I screenshot that at an hour passed the estimated time, it still says that so I waited another hour which was about 9:30PM and it still says processing while saying that it should be ready by 7:47pm on September 8th, thursday which is today. Right now it is 10:38pm and it still says that it is being processing, still says it should be ready by 7:47pm today. Still no confirmation email from Wal-Mart to let me know that it is ready for a pickup and a proof to show it to one of Wal-Mart associate over at Site To Site department I believe or at registration, I am not sure because this is my first time trying out the today pickup thing. Being the first time trying out a today pickup isn’t turning out a good experience and that isn’t good thing for Wal-Mart especially for a customer who try the today pickup for the first time so obviously if they would want a customer to use the today pickup more they shouldn’t give any customers a bad experience for the first time. Since that this is my first time trying out the today pickup, I definitely will not use it again and that goes the same for their new shippingpass. No wonder why Amazon is easily better than Wal-Mart processing and Wal-Mart is said that they are in to compete against that after acquiring Jet.com. Wal-Mart definitely have nothing that can compete Amazon especially if that’s how they do with their processing and then saying some items that are in stock that with an estimate date of getting the item then a customer not getting them when Amazon would often ship items to anyone right on the time or earlier which is awesome.

Believe it or not, I am truly not all out against Wal-Mart because the next time I will do is giving Wal-Mart one more chance by pre-ordering when a TV shows DVD that is coming out that I’d like to have so that they can for sure to have them ready for me on the released date as advertised but I would be very wary doing that though. I probably will start relying on Amazon even more now than ever, just that only if I am desperate then I will try Wal-Mart pre-order but that is if my guts ever allow me to do so especially after this experience that I am having at this moment and still having bad experience as I still have not gotten a confirmation email from Wal-Mart to let me know that it is ready for a pickup as it should have already sent to me a few hours ago today because it is said that it would be ready for a pickup today as it was advertised right before you check out.

I just realized that I got an email from Wal-Mart just now, asking me to survey the customer service experience after calling them about not getting The Flash season two TV Shows DVD when the Wal-Mart online says? Apparently they have no common sense as if I have called them to complain about not getting it when it is advertised that I would be getting it today, if they goes by what it is advertised I wouldn’t be typing this article as I would be already sitting back and enjoying The Flash season two. Now they are asking me to give them a survey based on their customer service? WHAT?! If I called to complain about this then it should already says that Wal-Mart over here and Wal-Mart online sync with each others along with their customer service is PHEW!

Anyway I just figured that I would share my rant with all of you and let you all know what it is to use their today pickup. My advice to Wal-Mart? Be in sync, communicate with each others and do what the Wal-Mart website says. If any of Wal-Mart doesn’t have any of these items that are on Wal-Mart website then make sure that it says it isn’t in stock otherwise they are going to have some conflicting.
