Here I am writing another snippets article, which is one of the signatures for JoshiesWorld. I always like writing snippets article because it allows me to write several topics or subjects in one article instead of one by one and in my opinion, I think that they also give the readers plenty of things to read! I don’t know if you have noticed or not, I have added a new feature on here which is table of contents which it give you a list of all topics that I write in snippets article so that you know what topics is in there which it can be helpful if you prefer to read specific topics instead of reading all of them when you are in a hurry and as well making it easier for all of us to select which topic that we would want to share with others by either telling them which topic in the list that you would like for them to read or just select the topic then copy the URL address at the top of your internet browser address bar to paste them around to your friends or family to save their time from having to find the specific topic that you want them to read.

You will see the table of contents from on now, starting from 11-8-2019 snippets that I wrote last month and all you have to do is click the link where it says “Topics List” which it will expand when you click the link so it gives you the complete list of the topics that I have written/talked about in each snippets article. As always, snippets article can be either a long or short read because it depends on how many topics that I have written down in my notebook and sometimes new additional topics would pop up in my head as I write for a snippets article. This is one of many reasons that I went ahead and implemented the table of contents to make every future snippets article easier for both of us! I would like to remind you again, some may be old topics and some may be new topics because I don’t write them all in a day, I write a topic one by one whenever I have the time to!

Christmas Is In The Corner!

I know, I know! I don’t know about you but I am very excited for myself, actually, I would be more excited if there is some snow on Christmas because one of two or three reasons that I love about Christmas is because of snow and lately thanks to the world including the United States causing the climate change some of us probably won’t have a snow Christmas. Only the time that I truly can remember that a true snow Christmas day was in 1994 when we had a blizzard here which it was a very beautiful sight that I have seen, it snowed from Christmas to over New Year to the point that the road was not drivable and ever since the late 2000s I barely see any snow on Christmas day. Next thing I know that we are going to have a summer Christmas eventually if we don’t do anything about climate change, of course, I don’t mean that we are to have a summer Christmas in a very short time I mean that is obvious and common sense but in the long run, it could happen if we continue to ignore the signs of climate change warnings. For those of you who don’t believe in the “climate change hoax”, that is fine but there is something that you cannot dismiss the fact that the statistic has shown that we break the record every year with rising temperature and as well the average temperature rise overall (per year). It is there, you cannot change and you cannot say “no” either because it is the data via the weather services. Nonetheless, even though I am predicting that I will not be having a snow Christmas I still have a few days of Christmas movies and television shows to watch! The spirit of Christmas is often a joyful for me, especially by remembering all of the times that I have spent with my grandparents, my aunt, and uncles on my mother’s side because almost all of them are no longer here with me except that I still have my mother and my uncle John which I am very thankful for. Again, I am talking about my mother’s side so of course I have a family on my father’s side and the family on that side is large although I don’t really celebrate with them which is ok with me. The shopping for Christmas is never fun to do for me, I am sure that some of you would agree especially when you have no idea what they want and you have gone in shopping spree guessing that the things you get are something that you are hoping they would like them. I think today is probably the day that I am officially done with shopping for anyone unless I spontaneously think of something to get that I know they would arrive here in time for Christmas and I go shopping for the most part because they are convenient for me. I order knowing what they are, without having to go to the store looking for something and trying to come up with something to get so yay for the internet!

I am not going to share anything that I am getting for my mother, which is who that I shop the most for and I may share some of the lists of what I have got her for Christmas on Christmas day or more likely a few days after Christmas when I finally have the time. You know, every year when you have just a few weeks until Christmas you quickly go in panic mode and start thinking of what to get for some people for Christmas. For me, it is a double whammy, why you ask me? My mother’s birthday is on January 7^th, so just a few days after Christmas and I would have to start getting back into shopping spree or pressing my mind to think of what to get for my mother while knowing that I don’t have a lot of time especially that I just have done for Christmas. That is the only downside about shopping on the internet is that they are not open and as well don’t ship them on holiday days which make sense but at the same time it put just a bit pressure on people including myself worrying about if any of them would arrive in time for the holiday.

Anyway, what are you planning to do for Christmas?! Let me know by leaving a comment below! As for me, on Christmas Eve we will have a very small Christmas dinner here and on Christmas day I will be sleeping in late then open the presents in the late evening on Christmas day. When I was a little, we used to open the presents the first thing in the morning, I mean like 6-8 AM in the morning and as I get older they become 11-2 PM now this year it will be a bit later. Honestly, I really don’t celebrate too much on Christmas anymore especially that now I, my mother and my uncle John are only remaining ones out of all others on my mother’s side of family as we would use to really celebrate at my grandmother’s house with a huge family gathering to now only two of us as John doesn’t visit here. So, even though I don’t celebrate much on Christmas I still look forward to it is because of two things, spending some time with my mother and knowing that Christmas is coming means that there is snow coming in few days too (hopefully).

If I don’t get online on Christmas Day, I would like to in advance to say: Merry Christmas!

FTC Is Considering To Stop Facebook From Merging With Other Services

I am reading some articles where FTC (Federal Trade Commission) should consider blocking Facebook from merging with all of the other services that are owned by Facebook, such as Instagram and WhatsApp which is owned by Facebook. The reason that FTC is considering or being said that they should consider blocking Facebook from merging is to make sure that they don’t become more powerful than the way they are now. Right now, Facebook basically dominates our internet social and our connection with others so if they are to merge that would mean Facebook alone would get even more powerful than operating all of these services separately. The problem is that I don’t think FTC or anyone realizes is that Instagram and WhatsApp pretty much already integrated with Facebook. Facebook is becoming too much of powerful already, they dominate the social networking, as well dominate the photo-sharing service such as Instagram when they acquired them but not video because YouTube which is owned by Google dominate that area and WhatsApp is basically an international messaging app which is popular in a country like China and Europe.

Media In Deaflympics

Okay, past the few days I have been seeing that the media from countries like the United States and as well some others but I am going to use this as the United States one as an example being a media person there. Obviously, as you know I am from the United States but if I am going to be a media person to cover a Deaflympics or even a Olympics I wouldn’t wear anything that would represent a country that I am from because if I am going to be there to cover them then I am expected to cover the Deaflympics or Olympics as a whole, with several countries competing with each other and giving the reports on all of the teams from different country. While doing so, they give the media vests to the media people so that they can have access to speak with the athletes, coaches, country representative, and whatnot so they know who the people that are there to report or work for a media whether it be their own or for a company that they works with. Now, with the media vest, I am not going to put shirt or anything that would have USA on them because I am there as a media person to give the coverage of the Deaflympics or Olympics because if I do wear the USA somewhere on my clothes, hat or a beanie it would be a conflict with my work which that would make me more of bias. Only the time that I would wear a name of country on me is if I am there as a visitor, a tourist, or an athlete (that is just if!) and whatnot but as a media person I just cannot bring myself to do so because I am there to work to bring the coverage of the event – not to promote a country that I am from!

So, here is a tip for anyone who interests in being a media person, a journalist, a reporter, even a blogger, and whatnot – don’t represent a country that you are from because you are there to work to bring the coverage of the event with all of the countries involved! Perfect example, in fact, I must tip off my hat to – H3 (H3) World TV! Bravo, they do the job so well being unbiased to cover for the international without representing the country that they are from!

Impeachment

I must agree with Ricky Taylor that the word “impeachment” should not be taken lightly, it’s not something that you can use the word loosely and throw it around in a conversation or on the people just because you dislike them. The word “impeachment” is used to charge against a holder of a public office such as a president, I have noticed that some of you repeatedly say that we should impeach the people like Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff and others – no. They have not done anything against the law, have not committed a crime of anything and even allegation does not mean that the word “impeachment” should be used on them. In seriousness, as such as all of the laws that the current president of the United States, which in this case that is Donald Trump who have evidently broke the laws, not just laws as well constitutions and more including the obstruction of justice along with obstructing the congress by preventing them to obey the order of congress’s subpoenas and whatnot – that is where the word “impeachment” should come in for these multiple laws broken. Not just because of hearsay, not because of what they say that may anger you and certainly not just because you dislike them.

Plus, President Trump being impeached by the house of representatives does NOT mean that he is removed from the office. It just simply means that it is the first step, they are the charges against him and the next step would be the trial which will be done in the senate. If there are enough votes coming from the senate trial on these two articles of impeachment then this is where he would then be removed and cannot run again but if there is not enough for votes then he would be acquitted which that mean he continue to be the president and run for re-election too. Oh, how excited I am to see that my all-time favorite NFL team, Green Bay Packers clinched a playoff berth being an 11-3 after beating Chicago Bears which is known as the oldest NFL rivalry with Green Bay Packers! Right now Green Bay Packers is projected to be a seed 2, the next game for Green Bay Packers is on 12/23 at 8:15 PM EST Monday coming up and it is going to be a exciting game because a lot of people says that their “system” predict that Minnesota Vikings will win against Green Bay Packers and I just cannot wait until to see that Green Bay Packers proves their “computer” is wrong although one thing I am nervous about is that Packers is going over Vikings stadium to play instead of Vikings coming over to Packers stadium which that means it is an away game for Packers. That is only thing I am worried about, Packers will have to do everything to their best ability in order to beat Vikings because this year Vikings is a good team as well although they are lower in a conference (National Football Conference – NFC) that Packers are which Packers is number one in tied with other teams (same numbers) such as Seattle Seahawks, New Orleans Saints, and San Francisco 49ers all with 11-3 records then Minnesota Vikings with 10-4. With Packers tied with the other 3 teams as a number one, Minnesota Vikings is basically a number two for the time being. I am hoping that Packers will keep up with the tempo, be humble as they were back in 2011 when they won the Superbowl against Pittsburgh Steelers which was the game that I can never forget! I am crossing my fingers that my NFL team Green Bay Packers will win the playoff and head to the Superbowl against a team that I am thinking like Baltimore Ravens? Or maybe another Superbowl with Pittsburgh Steelers which surprise me a bit because they are now in a wild card round. All I know is that I am kind of tired seeing New England Patriots going to the Superbowl, they have been going to the Superbowl too frequent and it’s getting a bit annoying. I am not booing at Tom Brady because my hat tips off to him but he has won enough I think and besides he is a bit (not really a bit) overrated QB of all time that I have ever witnessed.

Trump Supporters And Republicans: Check The Links!

Lately, I have been seeing some of the people sharing some links with a photo of Nancy Pelosi or Adam Schiff and then underneath the photo, it has a saying that one of them has done a crime for something. I dare you to click them because if you do you will only be taken to a page with just a photo of them and nothing else. Those of you that are sharing the links that have nothing on them but a picture, you are showing me more that you don’t really read anything enough to know what your party Republicans and as well the president are doing more than harm to the country which that would explain why you blindly voted them. Also, for those posts with a link that you shared where it says “Trump Supporters Is Raising!”, again please check the link and carefully look at the published date of that article. I am almost sure (not every single but some) that it’s going to tell you any time in the year of 2016, not this year, not last year and not two years ago either but 2016 when Trump was a presidential candidate! The more you share the more fool you make out of yourselves; I mean seriously. Check them, be sure that it is really an article and also look at the published date very careful then if it’s still something that you’d want to share then share away but don’t act as if it’s today when it was said three years ago please or don’t share a link that just takes to a photo only because by doing so you just made everything you share a moot.

Democrats Vs Republicans = Enough!

For many years, we know what Democrats and Republicans believe in and whatnot. Since I was born, Ronald Reagan was a Republican president at that time with both house and senate in control of Democrats. It was dandy, then there was father Bush, Bill Clinton, the son Bush and Barack Obama. Congress majorities switches, it was somewhat ok but aside from the 9/11 terroristic attack and fast-forward to the year of 2016 it suddenly becomes Democrats Vs Republicans. The difference between the past and the 2016 election that Democrats Vs Republicans are being polarized. Of course, I am a Democrat although I am more of a moderate Democrat but I never had to deal with or seen the people who are republicans or the supporters of Republican president has gone so extreme before until Trump was elected and now we have to deal with bunch of Republicans trying so hard to insult Democrats on personal level when they could not back up what they said with facts or make a long list of lies about Democrat politicians. If a Republican or Trump supporter said something, I decide to criticize that person with the actual fact and that person would revert to personal insults rather than sticking to the original subject or try to beat the fact that I have criticized them in the first place. I notice that people who are Democrats or independent would be more polite, trying their best to explain the supporters of Trump or Republicans with the words that a child can understand and yet they still throw personal insults at Democrats or independent commenters or people rather than politely acknowledge that they were wrong about the subject. It would actually be more of adult thing to do for them is to acknowledge that they were wrong about the subject than to throw some insults, it would be more mature of them to be that way but for some reason, it seems that they just cannot be so and quickly insults the democrats or independents every way that they can hope that somehow they could successfully hurt their feelings but all, in the end, they would see them as child instead of adult is that they are.

If it was the other way, as I have mentioned that I am a moderate Democrat, if I was criticized with some facts that I was wrong I would accept that I am wrong about the subject that we would be on and that goes the same way with many of others. It is tiresome, really. Now, I am not saying that the Democrats are perfect and the Republicans should say the same thing about themselves either because they are by far from that. Before the 2016 election, I would see both sides come to a disagreement about something and then to work with each other to meet halfway that would benefit both sides rather than just one side (bipartisan). The perfect example was during the year 2011 with the Affordable Care Act by Barack Obama and as well some of the laws created under Republican President George W. Bush. But now, as you know the house majority is in control by Democrats and the Senate majority is in control by Republicans so almost every new bills voted by the house would be brought to the senate would immediately goes to what they call legislative graveyard because these bills were written by the house of representatives which is Democrats majority. Now I am seeing that some of Republicans or Trump supporters call Democrats a do-nothing, I am vexed by that because I ask them if they realize that the reason house of representatives can’t do anything is because every bill that was passed through the house of representatives is immediately blocked by the senate which is a majority of Republicans. They go straight to the Senate majority’s desk, which is Mitch McConnell’s (R-Ky) desk and he won’t bring them to the senate’s floor which it makes as if the house of representatives has done nothing when they did pass several bills but just immediately got blocked when they hits Mitch McConnell’s desk.

That means what? They refuse, I mean profoundly refuse to find common ground or meet halfway with the Democrats in order for the bills to be passed both congresses and have them on the President of United States desk for President Trump to sign or to veto. So, don’t go around calling Democrats “do-nothing” because it is the senate who is in control by Republicans that are “do-nothing” as they are the one who blocks everything that goes through the house of representatives which is in control by Democrats so this means that it’s Democrats Vs Republicans unlike before. Honestly, I think that Republicans are not the right name to call them (some, not all) because it’s more of an unofficial new party under the GOP umbrella calls Trumpicans. It’s baffling, really. Because of that, they are hurting United States democracy and it’s something for every one of us regardless of our party affiliations to be concern about. You cannot deny that before 2016 election, it was not this bad especially when it comes to the political party and ever since the 2016 election it gets so bad to the point that everyone is making bunch of excuses or the fact that kind of behavior coming from President Trump is norm when they really are not. Oh man, we went from a country that people and other countries take seriously to now where they just cannot any longer take us as a country serious thanks to that person who is in the white house. When you have other country presidents or prime ministers to mock, laugh and whatnot that just show us as clear as day that our dignity as Americans from the United States is gone. I personally don’t care if we have a Democrat or Republican president, of course for me I would like that the president to be a Democrat but if the president ends up to be a Republican then I would accept but that behavior, mocking a disabled person, talking about grabbing a woman’s private part, refusing to work with the congress from other side, calling other country for help to meddle in its own country, discriminating people, being a racist, calling neighbor country rapists, separating immigrant families, banning immigrants from coming in when we are no better ourselves after we took the lands from indigenous people and whatnot is something that I just absolutely cannot accept. My point is before the 2016 election democrats and republicans works with each other even bumping the heads with each other but still willing to work with others to meet halfway but now it’s absolutely their way (Republicans) only because every law that got passed through house of representatives basically killed as soon as they land on Mitch McConnell’s desk.

Enough, seriously! We all need to realize this, especially the Republicans and as well some Democrats that it’s not good for democracy. And more so, be more wise when it comes to electing someone for a office whether it be president of the United States or a congress because they run our country but only way that they can get to the office is by us voters (which is something that they need to be reminded that we are ones who voted them and we can as easily vote them out as we got them in the first place).

I have decided to go ahead and created an FAQ page in an attempt to answer the common questions to save some both of our time from you going through the trouble of contacting me to ask these questions and me responding to them with the answers. You can check the FAQ page here, it is not finished but it is a start so if you have any questions that you think you and others might ask me in the future so that way I can go ahead to answer these questions so that way in the future it would save everyone’s time!

Pike County, Ky Democrat Representative Chris Harris Is Not Running Again.

It is saddening news for me and I am sure that it is also for many of us who lives in Pike County, Ky as our current representative Chris Harris of Pike County, Ky who has been representative for about six years, has decided to not run another term. The reason behind this is that he is wanting to be close with his family again because being a representative for a state requires him/her to be at the capitol a lot of the time to work and to represent his/her county citizens. It is understandable, who does not want to be close to a family? And besides, not too long ago his son Corbin who had a very bad accident so he has been rehabbing for months now and of course, this is emotional for Chris Harris because he has to work several hours away from home then drive several hours back home to support his son. For myself, I would like to thank Chris Harris for all of the works that he has done for Pike County, Ky and not only that he was probably the only representative for my county that actually keep in a touch with me through social media from time to time or we both would have a discussion about some issues especially when it comes to Deaf-related problems for the Pike County, Ky as he has been a great ally to the Deaf Kentuckians in Pike County, Ky who has over ten thousand (10k) Deaf populations. He had said that he had hoped he represented us well, honorable at least and in my opinion that I think he did more than that as he did not only served us honorably but also with dignity which is something that we rarely see in the political climate today. He will continue to represent the people of Pike County, Ky at least until the election in 2020 and that is when we will have to think of someone else to replace Chris Harris instead of voting for Chris Harris again as he has declared that he has made a difficult decision that he is not running for another term. So, thank you, Chris Harris, for representing us in Pike County, Ky! I wish you and your family nothing but the best in all of your future! Whenever, in future, whether short or long you have decided to run again as a representative which I believe you can as there is a no limit on terms or if you have decided to run a different public office such as a senator, a judge or maybe even a governor in future but who knows! The point is, if you ever decide to run a public office again, let me know and I will be rallying right behind you once again!
