6-17-2022 Snippets

I know I have not written a snippets article for a while as the last snippets I wrote was in October 2021, so it was several months ago. Although a few reviews have been written recently, a couple of articles are more of personal letters and guest articles. There hasn’t been one published for several months for a snippets article, which I think is overdue, so here I am writing a new one!

How have I been, and what have I been up to?!

I have been doing alright; I dealt with a couple of things I never wanted to deal with and hoped that I wouldn’t have to deal with them this year, but unfortunately, I did, and I will share what they were. Two of my dogs passed away, and while both of them equally broke my heart in seeing them leaving us, one of them, in particular, hurts me more than ever, and that was the one that we have had for about 15 years, which was my baby boy Wiggles. We discovered that he had cancer, Wiggles was with us since he was a baby, and he was born right here, so we had him from the minute to death. In his dying time, we were with him and comforted him as he passed on, which was the hardest thing I had to go through. Another dog of ours, one of our dearest, also named Junior, passed away too short, although he wasn’t alone as my mother was comforting him. However, he was aging; he was nowhere near the age of Wiggles, so I figured we’d have a few more years with Junior before anything happened, but we, unfortunately, didn’t. Junior passed away first, and Wiggles passed just a few weeks later. Losing two of them is like losing two family members; it weighs very heavy on my heart, and it still is to this day since they left us in February-March.

It was surreal because we lost two of our babies 2-3 years ago within’ two or three months, just like we did with another two of ours this year. When we were losing one, there was someone else who would go after that. We had eight babies that we lost so quickly in about five years frame due to aging and disease such as Wiggle’s cancer. Now we are down to two remaining members: Baby (sister of Junior’s, a niece of Wiggles) and Shaggy, who we rescued. Baby is the only one remaining that goes back to our 2nd head of the dog’s family, Bella. There was Bella; then there was Wiggles with his sister Oreo, who passed away 4-5 years ago, also Miss Damien, who’s Wiggles/Oreo’s half-sibling and now Baby (daughter of Miss Damien).

After the passing of Junior and Wiggles, that pretty much changed everything because when Wiggles passed after Junior did, we decided that we no longer would have any other dogs, that Baby and Shaggy are our last ones which we dearly love. Because it hurts too much and our hearts are definitely on the last string before being broken in half, we decided that we will not have any new members. However, we have many cats that we love dearly; they are young and semi-young, with the oldest being 4 or 5, Momma Cat. But all of these cats will be the only members we keep, and from there, we will not take a new one, although we recently took a new one named Pickles.

We are tired of having our hearts broken because it is always hard to lose them.

Other than that, I have been so busy working on my photography business and blogging that I have somewhat lost the motivation to write anything. Just because I am losing a bit of encouragement in writing articles or reviews does not mean I will give up doing any of these because I will never do that. My passion is still there and always will be there because being a journalist is my main thing, but just that, I am starting to focus on other things a bit more than here. Although, I will continue writing articles and reviewing things or places. I never actually stopped reviewing but lessen a lot in writing articles, if you notice, so my reviews continue, but my article writing gets fewer lately. I am going through some tough times myself, dealing with the passing of my beloved ones and trying to get my photography business going, especially in a rural area where a place that it is not always the best place to be opening any business, especially the like of photography or any other forms of art. If you are a photographer who succeeds in a rural area that only has at least ten thousand populations, then please leave a comment below and let me know how you get it going. My photography business is going but not what I expected but at the same time, knowing that I should have expected it. Not helpful, especially if you have other photographers and business owners trying so hard to ensure that you do not get any business even though you would like to work with them, but they would rather not.

A family choosing other photographers instead of having you as a photographer knowing that you are the only member of professional photographers of America in their area, is a bit hurtful. These photographers didn’t do a great job, and they chose them, which I can never understand, but anyway, that is my tiny rant so let me start writing other topics for this snippets article!

School shootings and guns

A school shooting recently in Uvalde, Texas, at an elementary school called Robb Elementary School, where a shooter selfishly murdered 19 children and two adults, bringing to a total of 21 victims – heartbreaking! All of them were murdered in cold blood by what? Guess? AR-15 semi-automatic rifle! If you don’t know what that gun is, it is a rifle with a long barrel, and the gun is more suitable for the military as it is a military-style rifle. The manufacturer that made the gun made a version for a civilian by only making it semi-automatic instead of a full automatic like the military usually has. That AR-15 rifle is powerful, even a civilian version, because it can usually hold 30 rounds, and even it can be turned into 100 rounds with a modification.

Only a very tiny difference between it being a military and civilian version is the automatic mechanic of the rifle, meaning when you pull the trigger, it can fire every round until it empties, but semi-automatic means that you pull the trigger as quick as you can for each a bullet to fire until it emptied. These AR-15 rifles are what many people like to use for their mass and school shootings. Why don’t we often see them having any other weapon? Because they know that these rifles are meant to do the most damage, and this is where the problem is. I firmly support owning a gun, but do we have to have a military-style rifle such as AR-15? Not because they are more than overkill. Hunting rifles, most of them are only capable of holding between 3 to 8 rounds per magazine, and that is plenty enough. A pistol or handgun is also plenty sufficient because they usually go up to at least 17 rounds for a modern firearm or 6 to 8 for a revolver gun, and that is plenty enough too. But they have a weapon capable of rapidly shooting up to 100 rounds per magazine, such as some AR-15 style rifle? Overkill!

I am a big-time supporter of the 2nd Amendment. Still, the problem is when America’s forefathers wrote that constitution in 1788 because that was the year the United States of America constitution went into effect. When they wrote the 2nd Amendment there, they were thinking of a slow reloading single shot rifle or maybe a revolver holding six rounds but not the like of guns that can hold up to 100 rounds. I believe that if they predicted that we would have such guns like that, they probably wouldn’t want to add the 2nd Amendment to the United States constitution. Back then, the 2nd Amendment was written in mind with these single reloading rifles and a revolver type of gun, which means it is ancient! That is why it is long overdue for a change, for a guns control law that does not violate the 2nd Amendment in any way that many guns owner claim to because we always will leave the 2nd Amendment alone while making sure that the 2nd Amendment is what they are – having the right to own a defense style guns to defend ourselves or the slow reloading single-shot rifle to hunt but not assault rifles. Assault rifles do not belong to citizens, and it does not belong to police officers either but only belong to the military to defend our country, which was what they were invented for in the first place. I mean, look at England, and they have zero school shootings because they have one of the strictest guns law where no one is allowed to have assault weapons, although hunting weapons is permittable with a permit or license to do so. Look at Japan; they also have zero school shootings. After all, they ensure that no one gets their hands on the weapon to the point where anyone does not need them to defend themselves because they cannot get their hands on them in the first place! Look at Australia, they have zero school shootings, too, and they are well-known for hunting. Hence, everyone is happy with that because they still allow the guns for hunting or defense but not assault rifles or weapons that allow them to hold that many rounds like AR-15 or other military-style weapons.

So, yes, it is high time that we here in the United States must do better and in doing that, is to follow their examples while at the same time keeping the 2nd Amendment in mind because they are going nowhere. Assaults weapons, including the AR-15 and others, should be banned for citizens while allowing the citizens of the U.S. to be more than free to own a defensive weapon such as a handgun/pistol or a revolver and a hunting rifle that can hold at least up to 5 to 8 rounds which is already too much. It is time. If you refuse, you are very selfish because you would rather have these weapons than ensure that no more children die due to school shootings or mass shootings. Are these weapons more important to you than these human beings? They are because of how you are saying, showing, and acting. It is time to get your priority to straighten up and do the right thing because otherwise, we will continue seeing the trend of mass and school shootings – more and more!

For those of you who say, “what about other guns that use the same ammunition as the AR-15 or other military-style rifles?!” – sit down! We know that these rifles are specialized for killing, while the other is specialized in hunting, which is why these have a different size in magazines which is one of the reasons that the assault weapon needs to be banned. How about this? Since you think so, why were you complaining about banning assault weapons like AR-15 or others when you said that these other guns that use the same ammunitions are just as powerful? I thought so.

Columbine High School was the domino that started the effect; President Bill Clinton banned the assault weapon, but then former U.S. President George W. Bush, with Republican congresses, reversed that ban, and now that is the result of us seeing so many shootings here in the United States. Is these assault weapons more important to you than human beings? It is a simple question for you to answer, and I hope that you answer that question unselfishly for once!

Democratic Party has nominated the first BIPOC Senator in Ky.

The other day, Kentucky nominated the first black person to run for a senate against incumbent senator Rand Paul. Charles Booker was nominated as a Democrat candidate for senate place in Kentucky against an incumbent senator Rand Paul, a Republican. When I saw that Democratic Party nominated Charles Booker, I was joyed, knowing that Democratic Party is nominating more BIPOC people to run for different political offices. This happens to be in my commonwealth, which is Kentucky! It is about time, to be honest with you, and not only that, but it is also the time to unseat Rand Paul, who has done nothing but embarrasses Kentuckians more than ever for many reasons!

The Democratic Party nominated Ky Senate candidate Charles Booker made one powerful video ads campaign. I think this campaign video should make your spine shiver as it did mine, even though I am a white person. Still, I am one of the others who recognized the shameful past of our racist ancestors. I more than ever want to do the thing for my generation or the future generation after me because we can never undo the past horrible things that we did to BIPOC Americans. Here are the video ads that he made; I think you should give them a peek, and then when you have, I ask that you think hard about what he has said in the video because it is a powerful message.

Before Charles Booker decided to run for Rand Paul’s seat in the commonwealth of Kentucky’s senate, he was a representative from the 43rd district. At that time, he was the youngest black representative for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. 43rd district in the commonwealth of Kentucky, where Charles Booker was a representative, belongs to Jefferson County, Ky, where Louisville, Ky is. Charles Booker also ran for senate in 2020 but lost the nomination to Amy McGrath. It was a mistake for Amy McGrath to win the Democratic nomination because back then, Amy McGrath’s message was not clear, or at least her goals that she would like to accomplish in terms of policy or whatnot. As a result, it was expected that she would be defeated by an incumbent Republican, Rand Paul, which was disheartening. But with Charles Booker, I will not say it will be an easy fight because, for some reason, many people are big fans of Rand Paul, which I can never understand. Charles Booker is more for the people, while Rand Paul is more for corporations or his interest, which is something that we as Kentuckians do not need to represent our commonwealth. Why would any Kentuckians want to have someone in the office that does not have our interests and only do in their interests? Because that is what Rand Paul has been doing for a few terms now, and I think that is good enough so it is high time that we need someone new to take the seat who will represent Kentuckians.

Of course, when an election is coming closer and I start publicly endorsing a few seats in my commonwealth, which I have been doing for a few years now – Charles Booker will have one of my endorsements. For any other news & media company, journalists, bloggers, and others should endorse Charles Booker for a senate seat. So that you know, Rand Paul’s father is none other than Ron Paul, who was a representative in Texas, so why do we want someone from another state to represent us? We need Kentuckian one and Charles Booker was born in Louisville, Ky, while Rand Paul was born in Pittsburgh, Pennysvila. Again, unlike other states, Charles Booker has been in Kentucky all his life, unlike Rand Paul.

America’s version of ISIS

If you don’t know what I am about to discuss here, then it is likely that you are out of touch with what is going on here in the United States of America. Do you remember what ISIS, alternatively known as ISIL? Yes, the terrorist organization in Iraq and Levant (In the like of Syria) we had many soldiers from here the United States of America go to war against them. ISIS was founded by Al Queada Abu Musab al Zarqawi back in 2004. They started attacking the government in these countries, occupying many areas and overthrowing a government. They had a lot of money to pay for weapons, vehicles, and whatnot. They even have their flags which we now know what they look like (a black flag with the Arabic language written with a white oval shape below it). Why does that feel so familiar here in the United States? Because unfortunately, there are, and they are even closer than you think. These people who attempted insurrection in the United States capitol are willing to harm anyone who does not fall in the line of their belief that Trump did indeed lose the election and threaten many other Americans who think they are babies. What is their flag? Confederate and their leader? Your so-called beloved white supreme leader, former the United States of America President Donald Trump, acts as America’s Al Queada.

It is sad to see what has happened here in the United States of America due to political polarization. When Trump was elected in 2016, the Republicans became no longer what they were known for as they went even further right – it’s a new party called Trumpubicans. This is no longer the Republican party of Abraham Lincoln or even Ronald Reagan! I am sure that both of these, along with other Republican presidents in the past, are rolling in their graves, seeing what their political party has become. Even our living former President, a Republican, said he did not support where the party is heading and denounced Trump – that living former President is none other than George W. Bush which many of us dislike. Still, when Trump was elected, it made George W. Bush a bit better, which is not good!

Pike County, Ky Executive Judge election

Speaking of the Commonwealth of Kentucky election, there was an election for Pike County, Ky, for the executive judge, and Ray Jones II is incumbent as a Democrat against another Democrat (really in name only), Prentis Adkins. I am so thrilled to say that a true Democrat, Ray Jones II defeated Prentis Adkins, and not only that, he did not have to run for an election in the fall because there was no Republican challenger, so only he had to do was to defeat another democrat (again only in name) candidate and that was it, so Ray Jones II is officially re-elected for another term for Pike County, Ky executive judge.

So, Ray Jones II, I must congratulate you for winning the election to be re-elected because you deserve another term, especially for how you handled Pike County, Ky, by pulling the county out of the water with a massive loss of money and saving Pike County, Ky by having approved for credit because if not for you Ray Jones II I doubt that Pike County, Ky would have been approved for the credit as it was that bad. Not only that, but when you were elected for the first time as an executive judge for my county Pike County, Ky, I immediately noticed that all of the television press or courts had no closed captions or were not accessible to over 10K Deaf populations. Within’ a few days into the office, I contacted and informed you that it was not right to keep us Deaf people in the dark over what was said in your televisioned courts or presses. You did what? You immediately made a change and right away put closed captions there! So with that, I was impressed by that quick action, which shows me that you do not talk but walk the talk!

I look forward to continuing to be on the standby when you need some assistance or advice for the Deaf and disabled populations in Pike County, Ky!

For a review of products or places

I still write reviews; that part on JoshiesWorld has not stalled; although articles in general have, the reviews continue, and I am getting to the point where I ask any of you who own these products or who own these places for business or others that need an honest review, please do contact me for a review. I would be happy to review whatever you need for JoshiesWorld’s audience. In other words, I have built a good number of reviews where I am slowly cutting down on buying some of the things and paying at some places to review because it is putting a strain on my finance. Many other influencers and reviewers are getting their products at no expense or being invited to different places at no expense to do a review on them in exchange for the costs being paid. In contrast, JoshiesWorld continues paying for them mainly as a disabled person who is not as privileged as many others who have access to these products or these places with paid expenses in exchange.

There are a few companies who asked me to do reviews on them. Still, at my expense which in the beginning, I was more than willing to pay for them because, at that time, I had just started reviewing but now that I have several reviews done and with considerable growth for JoshiesWorld, I think it is fair to get them without having me to pay for them to review them. If you are interested in having your product(s) or place(s) of business reviewed by JoshiesWorld, which is already popular, and ranked in the top 100 of Ky’s websites and blogs, please feel free to contact me by using this link (contact page) for further details such as a shipping address or an invitation to some places such as restaurants or business (whether it be hotels, motels, factories, etc.) for me to attend to do a review! You can contact me by using the contact page here or find me on social media here.

Blame the Democrats and the U.S. President Joe Biden for the gas price increase

I always wonder how you can get any lower than an I.Q. of a toddler when I see some of you sharing something or making a post where you blame the Democrats and/or the United States President Joe Biden for the increase in gas prices. I think you know better but refuse to acknowledge that just because you have such hatred for the democrats and Joe Biden because he is a democrat president rather than a former totalitarian President Donald Trump or the Congress to remain in the control of Republicans or more so Trumpubicans rather than Republicans who are somewhat decent like Mitt Romney. However, I am not a fan of him but acknowledge that he is a better kind of Republican.

Now, back to the topic because this is not about who and which party is leading this country, such as the United States of America. Regardless of who would be leading the country as a president and what majority of a party that the congress is in, the gas prices will be increasing either way, whether you think or do not want to think, which seems to be becoming a common thing in some of you by refusing to think or realize. Many of you say that the gasoline price, mainly from oil, is controlled by the President of the United States of America. The United States of America congress cannot get any more wrong because those of you said it is more wrong than ever. At the same time, it gets worse by being even more wrong. Who do control the gas prices? To determine the gasoline price, you have to look at the price for a gallon of oil because they produce the gasoline we use daily. The answer is that there is a list of reasons for the gas price skyrocketing, and mostly the blame does not go to our government. We do not control the oil price; we import oil from other countries that influence the price, which determines our gas prices here in the United States of America. Now, again the price for the oil or the gasoline goes up, is determined by other countries as we import oils from them as we cannot produce enough of them in our own country, so we have to import a lot from other countries to fill the rest of the demand.

As for the different countries, that determines the price for the oil we import, meaning we purchase them from other countries, depending on how much they can produce their oil. If anything interrupts their supply, they will jack the oil price, which translates to a higher gasoline cost. We know that we are in a pandemic, not just here in the United States of America. Still, most of the other countries went into lockdown, including their commerce, and that meant less oil being produced from them, so they jacked up the price for the oil that we buy them from to fill the rest of the demand that we need here in the United States of America. So, with that, we are now seeing even higher gas prices because they also raised their oil prices. After all, Russia invaded Ukraine. Russia is number third in oil supplier as they control around 11% of oil market share and that’s not even all as there is another country that is also one of the largest oil suppliers such as China who happens to be fifth in oil supplier as China controls around 5% of the market share.

You can read the rest here: https://www.eia.gov/tools/faqs/faq.php?id=709&t=6

If you are continually updated with the current events, you would know that China as a country has been the strictest when it comes to the lockdown to prevent anyone in the country from being exposed to COVID. You would know that Russia has invaded Ukraine just because Vladimir Putin, a dearest friend of America’s former President Donald Trump, wants to and has been working hard to genocide Ukraine. Along with that, the ending of the pandemic is uncertain in all the countries. The United States of America is one of the significant drivers of our gasoline prices. Also, in the spring of 2020, there was not enough demand for the supply (oil crude, which translates to gas), so these significant countries’ oil importers, including Russia and as well OPEC (a group of different countries that import oil crudes), agreed to slush their oil production because during the beginning the pandemic we weren’t using too much of the gasoline. Suddenly, as the cases of COVID started going down, we demanded the supply of oil crude for our gas almost too quickly. Therefore, it overwhelms the oil producers. So, that means it is time to scale up the production and start massively hiring people to meet them, but again we are still in the pandemic, so not everyone felt safe starting working or going back to work to produce more oil for gas. Because of that, United States of America President Joe Biden acknowledged the pain of us having to pay the higher price of the gas even though at no fault of ours but still do it anyway, and that was releasing tons of reserved oil barrels that were meant to be a backup for something significant so to keep the gas prices at a steady pace hopefully.

As a result of United States of America President Joe Biden’s action, even with the price rising for our gasoline is still lower than most other countries because other countries double the price for some gas. Yet, you still complain, which is an odd thing, and that shows one thing is that you are ungrateful thing without realizing that here in the United States of America, we are so lucky that we don’t pay double whatever the prices that we pay for our gas if we were in any other country including the like of United Kingdom, Norway, France, Germany, and others.

Even to this day, still a pandemic, and the pandemic seems to come back with more cases now. The COVID of cases goes up and down from time to time, which means some countries that supply oil do not always work to the point that they cannot produce enough oil crude for petroleum, aka gasoline. The United States of America economy under President Joe Biden had a record job growth, which is something some of you refuse to acknowledge. Which does that mean? More demand because with the jobs growth, they need gas to get there, increasing even more demand for the supply, which again overwhelms the oil producers to export their oil to us here in the United States of America for our gasoline.

Bottom line, we demand too much for a supply of oil, and they are too overwhelmed to meet the supply, or they just cannot because they have been restricted from working, such as some cities in a different country are back in lockdowns. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine messes it even more. Now, we are just about to get to this time of the year where everyone is getting ready to do a lot of traveling for vacations, and that means a heck a lot of more demand for the supply because not only vehicles that need the gasoline but also the airplanes that transport these vacation-goers need the gas which we already know that they use a heck a lot more gas than a vehicle can carry.

Here are a few articles you can read to get more information about why the gas price is going up, so some of you can read them yourselves just in case you are all about factual (please not “alternative factual”), although in this article has facts already.

Deaf Twitter Users List

A while back, I created a Twitter list and started adding authentic Deaf twitter users to the list to create a section where every one of us can keep up with all of the Deaf twitter users in one place instead of keeping up with them individually. So far, I have added close to 200, and I will not stop there because many more Twitter users are Deaf, but I have to discover them to add them to the list. With that list, which I will provide the link to for you to follow the list as the list is for the public, you can click to follow and then click the option to pin the list on your Twitter which will bring a new section on your Twitter homepage on the mobile version. By pinning the Deaf and Hard of Hearing list on Twitter, add a second section on your Twitter mobile version so you can take a turn directly on the homepage/front page, such as seeing what Twitter users that you follow have tweeted or see what all of the Deaf twitter users on the list has tweeted which is quite helpful in my opinion. I highly recommend that you give it a try and see it yourself!

Becoming a fan of Air Jordan 1 Shoes

I was desperate for new shoes; I always tried to put the need on hold and try to wear the heck out of the shoes I had been wearing for years before I decided to go for the new one. I was wearing Under Armor shoe, although it was comfortable enough but not as comfortable as I thought, especially after buying Air Jordan 1 shoes. I finally have decided to give in, as my mom kept asking me to get new shoes, and she knows I refuse to get any less well-known shoe brands or Under Armor again because I felt that after all these years, I got sick of Under Armor. I like premium stuff, Air Jordan 1 is one of the premium stuff because Nike makes them, so that is obvious, and as I said, I gave in to go on to get myself new shoes. I got it about a month ago, Air Jordan 1 Navy Armor, as they call it, which I will be showing the picture below. Ever since I got the shoe, I suddenly realized that Air Jordan 1 shoes are the most comfortable shoes I have ever tested, and I was shocked by them. It fits me like a glove, and I mean that figuratively! Thanks to my mom, she refused me to pay for it as she wanted to get it for me because she usually gets new shoes for me, so it has been a thing for her, so I let her pay for this time, and ever since then that Navy Armor Air Jordan 1 I cannot get my head out of how great the shoes feel and not only that how great it looks. I begin to think, no wonder why they are so popular because so many people buy them, but the thing is that most Air Jordan 1 can only be brought on the released day, and if they are sold out – that is it. I almost didn’t get it because they were being sold out so fast, as they only kick off at 10 AM, and then from there, they would put me in the line of “will I be lucky to get it?” – I lucked out as I got it.

About a week later, after that purchase, I started thinking about another Air Jordan 1 already, and I almost went to buy the Heredity one but overslept. Although they still had a few remaining in stock for some sizes a few days later that morning, I decided not to get that one. A month later, I saw one Air Jordan 1 that I must get because it has my color, which is green, but this one comes with a combination of green and yellow which brings me to my favorite NFL team Green Bay Packers, so I thought that it is perfect. They would let you know what shoes they will have in a few coming days, with a date that you got to be online or on their app to order them and that if you did not get them in time or let it go for too long, then you lose your chance of buying it. So, this morning at 10:00 AM EST, I had my iPhone ready in my hand, waiting to press the Nike app. As soon as it hit 10:00 AM, I opened the app and went to it to buy it; they put me in a pending line to see if they had any in stock for me to get it because they are on a first-served basis. Five minutes later, the Nike app pops up with several congratulations in-text flashing everywhere and saying I got it! What fun! Now, I have another Air Jordan 1 coming, and I plan to use this one as occasional shoes while wearing the Navy Armor Air Jordan 1 that my mother got for me as my daily shoes.

Now, I am starting to see why the sneakerheads get excited, and with that, I am becoming one of them, as this second one will not be my last Air Jordan 1 shoes for this year, I am sure. The nice thing about Air Jordan 1 is that they increase in value even after buying them. Nike is clever, but at the same time, it is a win-win for both sides because it allows Nike to get a lot of money knowing that they do something like this, but at the same time, the sneakerhead’s investment in their shoes grows – some can go to $1,000 to $2,000 in a matter of a few weeks since buying them for $100 or $170.

Here’s what the Navy Armor (the first one my mom got for me) and Noble Green (newest one) Air Jordan 1 shoe look like.

For the Navy Armor one, I was able to order them via the Nike website, but the Noble green one, which is the one I brought this morning, was only exclusive on Nike’s app and cannot be ordered via their website.

JoshiesWorld is becoming 15 years old!

What a journey for JoshiesWorld! JoshiesWorld is becoming fifteenth (15th) years old in less than two months, on August 7th! JoshiesWorld was born on August 7th, 2007, and this August coming up this year in 2022 will marks the 15th of age for JoshiesWorld. JoshiesWorld just started with a forum and a little plain blog as I had launched it as a place for everyone to get to know who I am because at that time, I was an owner of somewhat a popular social networking website back then called CheckMyPro. CheckMyPro was created to be a second place for many people I know over the time, from another more popular social networking website such as MySpace and one more I cannot remember, but it has called cherry something. Initially, I was well-known because I was people’s go-to when they needed layouts for MySpace. I am a web developer, but at that time, I was still new at it. Hence, making layouts for MySpace was the first step for me. From there, I was operating a website with tons of customized MySpace layouts (designed by me) for MySpace users to copy the HTML/CSS and then paste it to their MySpace profile in their HTML/CSS area. Not only that, but I was also a well-known web developer on an oldest web development forum called Digital Point, and from there, I just decided to go for something small – a forum with a barebone blog.

Then two to three years later, from the launch in 2007, I decided to shut down because it was getting hit with DDoS so bad, which was a big thing back in the days, especially in the era of the internet boom. A DDoS attack is when people stubbornly refresh the website so much that a server can’t handle the bandwidth, and crashes happen too often. Because of that, I have been consumed so much in steadily working on errors and bringing them back up almost daily. After that shut-down, around one year later, I decided to get back to it because I was missing it, plus I have a better picture of what I want JoshiesWorld to be. Since then, JoshiesWorld has become a brand and a media company with me as a journalist/blogger. I have been writing on JoshiesWorld for over a decade, so it has been a crazy journey. Since then, I have repeatedly said that JoshiesWorld will not go anywhere, and I still back that word up because JoshiesWorld will not go anywhere as it grows more every day. JoshiesWorld is a full-blown brand and media company that delivers many articles and reviews for everyone to read! JoshiesWorld remains one of the longest-standing Deaf blog/news media, while many others have been shut down and become inactive, which is unfortunate because I always like to encourage them to last long. I hoped that my resilience with JoshiesWorld would show them that theirs can be here for a long time and that they can continue writing but only if they have a passion for journalism or blogging like I do or a motivation to continue doing so.

With that said, as the 15th anniversary is coming up for JoshiesWorld, I look forward to continuing to deliver articles and reviews to every one of you for many more years!

In celebration of the 15th anniversary of JoshiesWorld, only if you feel or want to donate in support of JoshiesWorld. That would be greatly appreciated because JoshiesWorld always needs funds to grow as they do not come cheap. There is much more to that in what JoshiesWorld would like to get support for in terms of funding and physical goods, which you can read along with a way to donate to support JoshiesWorld. Click here to donate. At this moment, JoshiesWorld does not force anyone to read the articles or reviews behind a paywall like a few other Deaf news media, which is something I do not believe in; as I have said, JoshiesWorld always will be free for anyone to read. Still, at the same time, JoshiesWorld does not operate at no cost, obviously, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, please follow JoshiesWorld on social media!

What would you like to see on JoshiesWorld?

JoshiesWorld continually is improving almost daily, but that is more of in the background, such as on the server’s side; JoshiesWorld has been adding new features here and there, such as reviews. JoshiesWorld is planning to add another feature soon, which will be released soon, but when it does, JoshiesWorld will announce it on social media or via newsletter. That feature isn’t big, but it will be handy in the long run. If you have any idea what you think would be useful for JoshiesWorld to have and why? Please leave a comment below! Before you say bring back the forum, I must say it is a good idea. Still, news media/blogs no longer use the forum because there is now another way that the audience/readers/fans can interact with the writer(s) or journalist(s), which is, of course, on social media such as Facebook or Twitter.

Ky has two of the three deadliest bus crashes in the U.S.

I don’t know if some of you are aware of this, but as I was raised as Kentuckian, I am constantly researching all kinds of the history in the commonwealth of Kentucky and learning from it. A while back, I found out that the commonwealth of Kentucky has two deadliest bus crash out of three, the deadliest is in Yuba City, California, but after that, it is these two in the commonwealth of Kentucky.

The first one is in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. It is the Prestonsburg Bus Disaster of 1958, where a Floyd County school bus loaded with 48 elementary and high school students bound to the school. This was on February 28th in 1958, it was cold that morning, but the night before that morning, there was heavy rain and thaw from ice. The Floyd County school bus was struck in the rear of a tow truck on U.S. Route 23, and it slingshot the bus over to the swollen water of the Levisa Fork, a part of the Big Sandy River. When the bus was slingshot to Levisa Fork, it was swept and submerged, killing 26 children along with the bus driver out of 49 passengers because twenty-two children could escape the bus before it was submerged within a few minutes as the river was raging and flooding over the bus. Those 27 victims in the Prestonburg Bus Crash of 1958, along with the bus, were discovered and removed from the river 53 hours later.

The second one is in Carroll County, Kentucky. It was the Carrollton Bus Collision of 1988, where most teenagers attended North Hardin High School, James T. Alton Middle School, Radcliff Middle School, and four adults from Assembly of God church in Radcliff, Kentucky. They boarded the church bus, shared with all of these schools and Assembly of God church, and headed to Kings Island theme park in Mason, Ohio, about 170 miles from Radcliff, Kentucky. That group on the bus included some church members and their guests. They all arrived on Saturday in the early morning; it was said that the number of those wanting to go on the trip had grown to more than initially anticipated. The church’s principal paster, who did not go with them, restricted the number of the passengers on the bus to 66, including the driver. That restricted number of passengers is the legal limit in how many passengers a bus can hold, which was the 1977 Ford B700 chassis was mated to a superior school body. That very same bus was manufactured at Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville, Ky, which is in Jefferson County, Ky, and then shipped to Superior Coach Company of Lima, Ohio, to install the bus body on that Ford B700 chassis.

After they were done visiting the Kings Island theme park in Ohio, they were on their way back home to Radcliff, Kentucky, but before they did, they were cruising on the interstate 71 south but decided to stop by the gas station to fill the bus up with the gas and then resume their trip back home but almost collided into 1987 black Toyota pickup truck. That black Toyota pickup truck was traveling the wrong way at high speed on a curve stretch of the highway. The driver of the truck admitted that he was drunk and driving. That black truck hit the left side of a Cadillac Sedan de Ville, heading in the same direction as the bus. This time, the bus’s suspension broke, driving the leaf spring backward into the gas tank mounted behind the inside panel, just right behind where the steps and folding door were located. Because of that, that door became inoperative, so no one could get out as it was damaged by the collision of that black truck’s front side. Now, that gas tank behind the panel was penetrated and ignited the fuel supply, which caused the bus to fire. The bus driver tried to extinguish the fire with a small fire extinguisher while the passengers started to run out of the bus by the door at the back of the bus, which was their emergency door. While everyone was running out to the emergency door, the passengers in the last line started feeling the heat; the next thing was that the other end of the line that was closer to the emergency door started hearing the cries and screams for their mom. They tried to find another way to escape sooner, especially the one behind the line, by going out of a window on the side of the bus, and with that window broken, it brought the fire even more to the entire the bus, so they were burnt alive. Then it exploded. Twenty-six passengers and the bus driver died in the fire on that bus, a total of 27 victims.

Hillary Clinton should be jailed for Benghazi!

I am seeing a lot of Republicans and Trumpubicans (Trump supporters) who consistently say that Hillary Clinton should be jailed for the Benghazi incident. Many people do not realize that she was staunchly interviewed and investigated through and through. There was a house select committee on Benghazi by Republicans, she was investigated by different agencies and a heck a lot more, but they said they could not find anything that she had done wrong. They just could not; they even tried so hard to find something. Hillary Clinton was more than happy to go before them, who was heavily interviewed by that committee, primarily by Republicans, for 11 hours but couldn’t get anything. No one could, and the government agencies could not because there was nothing that would indict Hillary Clinton for a crime in the Benghazi incident. Therefore, she is not a criminal, and anyone who has committed a crime is the one that usually goes to jail, but since Hillary Clinton is not so she cannot be – never will be because it was investigated thoroughly. Move on!

Trump is vaccinated and boosted, so should you be too!

I don’t like the former President of the United States, Donald Trump, but some of you do, I know you refused to get the vaccine or, let alone a booster because of what he said before, but I have flash news for you. He was vaccinated and even boosted. He said it himself, and here is the video where he was interviewed by Bill O’Riley, which I also don’t like – he said “yes” that he was both vaccinated and boosted, so should you too!

Since the words out of Trump’s mouth said that he is vaccinated and also boosted, you should know to do the same. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be saying it, which means you should not have listened to Donald Trump in the first place when he said that some should or should not get vaccinated because all along, Donald Trump has them! Again, I know I do not like him, but I also do not like seeing people dying of COVID, and COVID is a deadly virus!

Find where you can get vaccines and boosters soon as possible in your area by visiting this link! https://www.vaccines.gov/search/

Nyle DiMarco is a role model for the Deaf and LGBTQ communities?!

Before I start to say anything, there is an article published by NBC News by Angela Yang: “Nyle DiMarco is a role model for the Deaf and LGBTQ communities.” Here is the link to the article; you can read it and then leave a comment to let me know what you think of that, especially the title and what was said in that article.

https://www.nbcnews.com/nbc-out/nbc-out-proud/nyle-dimarco-role-model-deaf-lgbtq-communities-rcna28820

My response? HA! I said that because I have already written a few articles on Nyle DiMarco, which shows that he is definitely not a role model for the Deaf community. Still, as for the LGBTQ community, I cannot speak because I am not part of that community, but for the Deaf community, I am part of that. He is a racist himself; he is a member of one of the most racist fraternities in a university called Kappa Gamma at Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. I even have a video/picture of him wearing a KKK-style uniform while marching with the Kappa Gamma fraternity at Gallaudet University. He also decided to think that it was ok to teach everyone how to sign in profanity words and whatnot which I have already written an article about. I guess all I would need to do is share two pieces that I already wrote about him. These two pretty much sum it up all on why he is not a role model for the Deaf community, but as for the LGBTQ community, someone else will have to say that, so you can ask Deaf LGBTQ that question about if they think he is a role model to them or not.

I wonder if Angela Yang of NBC News has ever done some research or even got in touch with the Deaf community and LGBTQ community to ask them if he is considered a role model? Because I would think not, otherwise Angela Yang would not have written that article for NBC News. As for the LGTBQ community, I recommend you look at Ricky “Ridor” Taylor’s videos on YouTube under the screen name “Ridor9th” because there are a few videos where he talked about Nyle DiMarco himself. Ricky Taylor is part of the Deaf LGBTQ community, he has made some videos, and I recall one of his videos speaking about a few people coming to him to reveal that Nyle DiMarco did some of the boys at Gallaudet University dirty, especially for not acknowledging them the next day after having sex.

You can check Ricky “Ridor” Taylor’s channel on YouTube here, and as well feel free to DM him on Twitter. I will provide the link to his Twitter below.

Get Free COVID Home Tests

Just in case you did not know this, you can get free COVID home tests as U.S. President Joe Biden has ordered millions of free COVID home tests for anyone who wants them, and they will ship eight rapid COVID home tests to you at no cost. The United States Postal Service (USPS) provided them, at first they ship four free COVID home tests in the first round, and now this is their second round, but this time they ship more than four as they ship eight COVID home tests per household address.

Here’s the link where you can fill in the information at the USPS website, and then they will get them shipped to you. https://special.usps.com/testkits

Please share this article with your family members and friends to let them know about free COVID-19 home tests, or you can share the link I provided above with them to let them know what it is.

The End!

That is all for now; I think I have enough topics, but if I had to look into one or two more topics, then I more likely will not finish this snippets article until next week, so I figured that I should go ahead and publish this with just enough of topics because it is overdue. If you can think of or know of any topics that you would like me to cover in the next snippets article or a regular article, please let me know by shooting me an e-mail through the contact page here or message me on the social media here. Please feel free to leave some comments if you’d like to share your opinion on some of these topics or want to respond to what I said. Thank you so much for your time; I hope that some of you at least enjoy a topic included in this snippets article, and be safe!

And screw you, Elon! You too, Jeff!
