AG Bell in short for Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, generally in the eyes of public AG Bell is just short for Alexander Graham Bell himself who is known for being inventor as he have invented phone that everybody uses inside their household but its eyes of the Deaf community the name AG Bell itself is shortened for Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing as both of these are practically same nonetheless. In the recent news, AG Bell have just detonated the ticking bomb not only in the Deaf community but also some professionals who is experts in the languages itself as there were a conference where AG Bell gave presentation by none other than the president of AG Bell, Meredith K. Sugar and in her presentation at a conference she declared that American Sign Language which is Deaf and Hard of Hearing’s native language is animal for any Deaf or Hard of Hearing child to learn. To be exact she declared that bilingualism is animal for any Deaf or Hard of Hearing child to learn, which referring to two languages in a package; American Sign Language and English is animal for anyone to learn. How does bilingualism works? When a Deaf or Hard of Hearing child born, that child would learn its native language which is American Sign Language as their first language so that the child have the ability to communicate at later in their life and then once their brain have developed to the point that they know how to communicate then they start learning English so they would know two languages which is what every business or colleges always look for in their application because they like anyone who is bilingual that fluent in more than one language.
So every Deaf or Hard of Hearing child will become more successful even before they gets to the suitable age for any kind of education such as school, college, etc or in the business world than any one who only fluent in one language which is English. Bilingualism helps to teach the Deaf and Hard of Hearing people to communicate using their first/native language as American Sign Language and English for writings.
Who doesn’t want to be bilingual? Especially fluent in more than one language even before they get to the age where they would start going to their school for the first time which that would be a heck impressive especially to the teachers. However AG Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing is strongly against bilingualism because they fears that they are losing millions of dollars monthly as the parents who gave birth of Deaf or Hard of Hearing child have discovered that their Deaf or Hard of Hearing child can be very successful at later in their life when they become adult or even before becoming an adult due to heavy exposure of the media where Deaf or Hard of Hearing shows the world that they are very successful due to bilingualism. Why are AG Bell fears of the media exposing a such huge success from Deaf community being bilingual? Nyle DiMarco is the perfect example of that. In case if you don’t know who Nyle DiMarco, Nyle DiMarco is Deaf himself who have won America’s Next Top Model last year in cycle 22 which aired on television worldwide and then not even a year later he entered an even bigger television show as a contestant like he did in the America’s Next Top Model and won with flying color. After winning the America’s Next Top Model cycle 22, less than a year he was invited to even bigger television shows that brings millions more viewers and the television show I am referring to is Dancing With The Stars cycle 22 this year. Guess what happened? He won it with mirror trophy! Imagine a Deaf man from Deaf family who won two gigantic contest television shows in about less than two years and doing so he shown the world that bilingualism is nothing but a such success.
When Nyle DiMarco won the America’s Next Top Model, guess who comes screaming and tried everything in their power to degrade Nyle DiMarco? None other than Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. In fact I have already wrote an article about where AG Bell wrote a public letter to degrade Nyle DiMarco and try to take his successful away by trying to hit the light out of a spotlight that shines on Nyle DiMarco. Nothing new about AG Bell doing like this to the people who is Deaf and Hard of Hearing including myself because it is what they have done for several decades as they have a mission to swipe us Deaf and Hard of Hearing people off the earth. Why does AG Bell is like this? Because they earns about billions by ripping off the parents of Deaf or Hard of Hearing child, Deaf and Hard of Hearing people by telling them that the cochlear implants is the cure that would magically give them the ability to hear when it’s not even close to being true at all. How? One example on how they convince them to fall in their trap is to tell them that if they are to get cochlear implant that would increase their lifespan while the people who AG Bell trying to convince weren’t aware that cochlear implant is what actually decrease their lifespan but that is one of their many marketing strategies which that have upsets the Deaf Community for decades as we have tried to warn them about what AG Bell is doing but they didn’t take our words as AG Bell knows how to convince them well until it was too late as their child or anyone who have taken cochlear implant to finally realize that they should have taken our words in the first place before allowing themselves to fall for their trap.
Now let me be clear, cochlear implant does give them a sound depending on some of the people but cochlear implant will never help them to understand the words and sentences as the only thing that cochlear implant does is just to give them a sound which only helps them to know if alarm is going off such as but that is it. When I was little, I am born a hard of hearing and I fell in their trap when I went to the audiologist which is one among enemies in the Deaf community to get an idea of my hearing levels in dB. That was when we discovered that I am hard of hearing, so I was given a hearing aids thinking that it would help me to hear fully and join these “hearies” people. Hearies? That is what we call people who can hear. I have practiced for several years, I went through years of sessions in speech therapy in hope that I can understand word by word and throughout more than a decade I never could be able to understand any word that they try to say to me. Some of the people thinks that we are against any Deaf or Hard of Hearing individuals that have decided to go for cochlear implant, we have repeatedly said that we never have been against these people who have cochlear implant or hearing aids as everyone have the right to choose and choosing is where the part that we are against because organization like AG Bell is trying to convince everybody including the federal or government that the only option is to get cochlear implant or hearing aids and learn only to speak which have failed for more than anything as they have proven that scientifically.
If anyone wants to have cochlear implant or hearing aids, we say go for it. But only at the age that they can decide for themselves if they want it or not because that is where it’s crossing the line in the Deaf community as some organizations like AG Bell have tried for several decades is lying to the parents of newborn Deaf or Hard of Hearing child by saying that it is best fix for their children is to get cochlear implant immediately instead of allowing the parents to look at different options that includes American Sign Language and that is where an organization like AG Bell is working so hard to remove the American Sign Language option from the list that the parents can choose for their newborn when it has been proven that learning American Sign Language instead of learning spoken language like English would make them succeed easily as there are several researches that have proven that by sciences or researchers which can be found on the search engines like Google or Bing. This is why we are anger with organization like AG Bell by convincing the parents a best option in their mind for the parents to give to their newborn when that option that AG Bell recommended or more so forces will hurt their newborn child in a very bad way as it will leave their children very behind in today’s education because to learn English they would have to learn American Sign Language first so that they know how to write English when they are attending schools.
I am one perfect example of that as when I was born, thankfully my mom took the right route by taking me to sign language class at very age when I was practically just a baby and learn sign language for both of us so that we can communicate with each others because it wouldn’t be a good life for a child being unable to communicate with their parents right? So I attended to learn sign language and since then I learned how to write English obviously as this is what I am doing now here but when I started attending to school for the first time there were no access to American Sign Language so by doing that it somewhat revert myself backward a bit where I couldn’t have a way to communicate with teachers using American Sign Language to learn how to write English like grammar, commas and others. Because of that my reading and English grades were very behind especially when I was in 7th or 8th grade both my reading and English grades were at level 3 which is VERY common in the Deaf community who went to mainstream school that had no access to their first language American Sign Language which that often would hurt their education along with their future as well. While struggling in mainstream school from first grade to fourth or fifth grade, the time I had hearing aids and you’d think that I would be able to understand my teachers telling me how to write properly grammar in English? Because I never could as using hearing aids all I could hear is a sound, such as if somebody is talking and all the sound that cochlear implant or hearing aid would translate from their voices into unintelligent sounds. Worse than when a baby trying to talk for the first time is almost how I would put it from hearing through the hearing aids and then finally in fourth or fifth grade the board of education have decided to hire an interpreter for me so since then I have improved drastically so that says a lot about how it is very important that the newborn baby to learn American Sign Language so that they can communicate with their teachers to learn how to write English; by that it’s calls Bilingual Bicultural or Bi-Bi which that is what every school should implement into their system including the mainstream schools for the Deaf or Hard of Hearing students.
Lead-K and Bilingual
That is why several of us in the Deaf community is fighting so hard to get all states here in the United States to pass the bill written by LEAD-K so that for once all the children can get proper education using a language that’s embedded in them when they were born. If here in the state of Kentucky had LEAK-D bill law put in place, undoubtedly I would be a huge successful person who doesn’t have to struggle trying to earn money for myself and my future family. But sadly there weren’t no LEAD-K bill law during my time so I am fighting hard for my next generation and everybody’s next generation so that they would not have to suffer like my generation or before my generation had been gone through. In my generation we have Early Hearing Detection & Invention aka EDHI which is no longer successful anymore so it is time that EDHI is to be replaced with LEAD-K because it is much more suitable for new generations of Deaf and Hard of Hearing children with their education.

It is strongly based on bilingual bicultural philosophy and EDHI is not which future generations need more than anything when it comes to their education. Not only that LEAD-K is there to prevent language deprivation from our future Deaf and Hard of Hearing children which something that EDHI doesn’t offer.
So for AG Bell to say that any newborn child to learn bilingual, learning American Sign Language and being able to communicate with teachers or anybody using American Sign Language to learn especially English as in how to write English is animal – Idiots.
Basically for AG Bell to say that they want to see Deaf or Hard of Hearing people to succeed in their future life then calling bilingualism animal makes them hypocrite themselves because to have education they have to learn American Sign Language early on in their life so that they can communicate using a language that they understand very clearly which is American Sign Language to get themselves educated in different subjects including English. So Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing must be more careful with their wordings because lately for them to say that they want the Deaf and Hard of Hearing people to have success in their future life then they must learn using their native language which is American Sign Language first so that they can learn many of things as they would already know how to communicate with their teachers to learn something by using American Sign Language which have been proven many times by researches that were done by professional sciences. I hope that any parents who recently have Deaf or Hard of Hearing children will question us Deaf community, Deaf or Hard of Hearing individuals first to help them with their decision on what to do with their newborn baby before going to a anti-cultural organization like Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. In Response to AG Bell
Dear Meredith K. Sugar, president of Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Why are you trying your best to continue its mission of AG Bell Association which is to make Deaf and Hard of Hearing people who happens to be human beings like you to suffer miserably? Be careful with what you are doing and what you are trying to frame the Deaf community because you are making Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing a laughingstock. Congratulation for making yourself look fool, being the face of Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing fits you perfectly because you are very fool of yourself while AG Bell is a laughingstock itself so you both are meant for each others. You honestly think that you can go lying to the parents and the Deaf community with false information such as false statistics thinking that you can convince them? I don’t know if you are aware that there is a such law that it can get you in trouble for selling people something under false information. If you want for once to end this foolish, I recommend that you stop being a childish and have a dialogue with the Deaf community before you continue to turn your organization into very embarrassment that you caused by yourself. Many of your remarks includes saying that bilingualism is animal for the Deaf child needs to be stopped and be more careful with what you are going to say in any of your presentations or press in future because all you are doing is making yourself and AG Bell looks very childish. Thinks you can play us? You thought wrong. Only way you can save your rear is for once of all, have a dialogue with us and I would recommend Deaf Grassroots Movement would be a start.
Opinion
Some of the people who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing sees it as disability, some of the people who is audism sees it as a disease and some of the people including myself who pride in ourselves being Deaf or Hard of Hearing sees it as ethnicity because being Deaf or Hard of Hearing is a part of rich culture that is in part of our lives. Why ethnicity? The only way that we can call it ethnicity is if it has a group of population, as there are several groups in the populations such as American, African, Chinese, Japanese, Brazilian and many more. There are few of Deaf and Hard of Hearing family as every generation’s newborn is Deaf or Hard of Hearing therefore in my opinion it is considered ethnicity. Disability is for the people who have limited or full movement in their body, amputee included and or anyone who is permanently weakened or paralyzed where they are in wheelchair. It is a beautiful thing, being Deaf or Hard of Hearing and I do consider myself disability because I am wheelchair bound due to breaking my femur in my right leg at my youth age but I don’t consider myself being hard of hearing is in a few reasons that I am disabled.
Audism is the notion that one is superior based on one’s ability to hear or to behave in the manner of one who hears, or that life without hearing is futile and miserable, or an attitude based on pathological thinking which results in a negative stigma toward anyone who does not hear.
It is shame that some of the people are ashamed of the people who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing, doing so means they disrespect their ethnicity and they never earned to be insulted or such due to being Deaf or Hard of Hearing because it is part of their ethnicity. Anti-cultural organization like Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (AG Bell) is doing everything in their power to sweep Deaf and Hard of Hearing people with rich culture embedded in them off the earth. So the Deaf community calls Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing many names such as AG Bad, anti-cultural organization which is called by myself, a hate organization called by Deaf community and several more while we in Deaf community didn’t do anything to them for them to do everything in their power to sweep our faces off the earth. Only reason we are fighting back now is because we are tired of them trying to do so, we have given them several chances to redeem themselves but they kept ignoring our offers of dialogue and a bridge between both sides to work with each others to benefit for both sides equally but instead Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing refused to take that because all they care about getting money for their pocket so we are tired of that.
That is why over at Deaf Grassroots Movement, who successfully rallied all 50 states here in the United States in May at each capitols in each state and demand the government to do something about equal communication, education and job. Now with Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (AG Bell) childish behavior it leaves Deaf Grassroots Movement no choice but to take action against them by declaring a war against the anti-cultural organization which I strongly agree with them. In fact I was representative for Deaf Grassroots Movement in state of Kentucky temporarily until they replaced me with a permanent representative so I have been inside the movement myself and sees it myself with my own eyes so all I can say is that AG Bell had their chance but they took unwise decision to ignore us so it is time to end AG Bell fool behavior!
