Applebee’s In Pikeville, Ky

I have visited Applebee’s in Pikeville a few times, probably once every month for lunch after taking care of things in Pikeville which is about 30 minutes’ drive from home. I and my mother went there to order some of the delicious foods for our lunch often. I often would order hamburgers from there which is one of the best hamburgers I have ever eaten in my life, they cooked the hamburgers meats to nearly perfect along with buttered toasted buns which it makes even more delicious with some bourbon sauce. Although they no longer sell my favorite hamburger on their menu which were bourbon & bleu cheese, I wished that they would bring it back.

I also loved their sliders as well which is delicious too, I hardly like any hamburgers as I am very picky with where or brands of hamburgers but Applebee’s hamburgers are what I like. The environment there is casual, it has a sporty theme as there are televisions that air some sport live and the bar is in the very center of the restaurant while the diners space is surrounded around the bar in the center. Most of the waitresses are friendly, although in a rare time you may will wonder if they pay attention or not when you flag them for something and whatnot but that is rare though so that is not as bad as some of the other restaurants that most of the times they would ignore the customers until they actually walk up to them to ask for something.

As for the bar, I cannot comment on that as I don’t drink alcohol but the bargoers are friendly and respectful there though so that is a plus, especially that the people that eat around them in the center. The spacing is a-ok, it needs some help because not the entire place that is accessible to a wheelchair as there are some tables too close along with the bar in the center and whatnot. I was able to have access on the left side, if I recall there is a step at the entrance especially going into the center of the restaurant and further down in the center is where the bar is but the wheelchair can get around by on the left side so like I said they do have some wheelchair access problem but it is accessible in some way so if you are a wheelchair user be sure to keep an eye especially coming in where the podium is in the center where they will sit you a table. As far as the television is, they don’t have closed captions on which is another accessible problem that Applebee’s in Pikeville, Ky as far as I am concerned and they need to activate them, especially that we have over ten thousand Deaf people living in Pike County, Ky.
