Okay, where do I start here? Please note that this is my opinion and over 70 million people in the Deaf community are welcome to share their opinion on this subject as well. I strongly believe that the research done by Anne E. Geers may be biased or improperly researched. In her article, it stated that she studied a different three groups where one of them would have newborn to learn sign language early on, one with cochlear implantation while learning spoken language such as English and one with cochlear implantation learning sign language. In her research, she stated that the group where the newborn who had cochlear implanted and learnt spoken language could speak more clear and better reading than the other two groups. I must ask, did Anna E. Geers herself handpicked the sign language teacher to teach the child sign language? And what exactly did she mean “sign language”? Doesn’t she realize that all other sign language modes besides American Sign Language has proved to be fail and that American Sign Language has proved to be successful for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing child? Another question, wasn’t she aware of bilingual-bicultural education? The fact that American Sign Language is a visual language, a recognized language at that and it is vital that the Deaf children to…

Another article this soon, I know! How are you all doing and are you enjoying your summer so far? As for me, I have stayed up a lot and sleeping a lot as well lately. I have not had the chance to enjoy the summer yet, because I have wanted to go four wheeling and I haven’t found the time to go four wheeling or haven’t found other people who has a time to go four wheeling with me as a group. You don’t want to go four wheeling alone, it is never a good idea to go riding a four-wheeler alone especially on some long trails in a large mountain because if for some reason your four-wheeler breaks down then you would truly be stuck and have hard time trying to get back to your vehicle where you park with your four-wheeler trailer. Only time I would go four wheeling is if I am to cruise down the street for a few minutes which is illegal to do so and ride some small hills. I lives on the east part of Kentucky, right on the border between Kentucky and West Virginia so I am surrounded by Appalachia mountain. If you know about Appalachia mountain then you know that Appalachia mountain are large and easily to get lost if not…
So here I am, blogging again for once in a long while since I haven’t written an article for a few weeks and I have been preoccupied lately to a point that I could rarely find any time to do something that I enjoy doing. As you know, we are now in summer which is usually that time a lot of people would be off to somewhere on vacations and this is one of few reasons that a lot of bloggers aren’t as active as they usually be in fall, winter, and spring seasons. Every website has statistics that the owners of the website(s) can check, almost every website receives the lowest traffic during in the summer and the most traffic that all websites get is usually in winter. Because in summer, a lot of people is out on vacations and the lowest usage of the internet is in the summer as well, because not many of people is at their home using the internet and even that a lot of us have smartphone or tablets with internet; the statistics still shows that the lowest internet usage is in the summer. It is interesting and it is good thing because it shows that some people can at least lives outside of the internet. Anyway, usually in every article I would…
It seems that the time has flown on, yesterday it seems as if it is still in the late winter like in February and now it is the first day of the April! I cannot believe how fast the new year 2017 is going already, maybe it is mainly because I have been very busy that I barely pay attention to the calendar and it passed by me. I remember last year in summer that the year of 2016 were going too fast, that we were already nearing Christmas and I said that I felt everything somehow rushed so now it is 2017 I am saying the same thing except that we are getting closer to summer in a hurry. I am sure by now that through several articles I have written last year especially around in the fall that I was looking forward to the winter because I am a winter person, I am a biggest fan of the winter because I never can stand the heat temperature that summer throws at me in the summer and I am not one of these many people who says that they cannot wait for the summer then they cannot wait for the winter. Not making up its mind, I always sticks with that I cannot wait for the winter for several…
I am way behind on the hot topic and news on the Deaf community in general, mainly because I have been very busy lately and I could never find the time to write an article anywhere including my blog here but at least I will share my thought about this topic “Deaf Cultural Genocide” that was going around a few weeks ago. That would be better than not sharing any thoughts of mine on that topic so here I am to give a piece of my thought on the topic that was trending in the Deaf community, several weeks ago an associate professor at Gallaudet University wrote an article stating that if anyone who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing decides to participate in the medical or science research that supposedly cure deafness by receiving genetic therapy that they would allow a form of cultural genocide and it would be unethical of them to do so. There are medical research labs or sciences especially that specialize in stem cells, compete to come up with a proven cure to eliminate the deafness either at birth or at some minimum to maximum ages for anyone who want to have the ability to hear and or that the child who was discovered Deaf after the birth to have the ability to hear at…
