There are a few of trending in the Deaf community, one of them is about a problem that is going on around in the Deaf community about American Sign Language interpreters with conflict of interests, and by American Sign Language interpreters conflict of interests, I mean the American Sign Language interpreters who are already biased due to conflict of interests but went ahead to accept the interpreting job. Biased American Sign Language interpreters are often in violation of the code of ethics, especially through the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID). If you visit the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) code of ethics page, before getting to the full versions of their code of ethics, you would see one of their tenets number three (3) it says that interpreters conduct themselves in a manner appropriate to the specific interpreter situation and also under seven (7) it says interpreters engage in professional development. But further, it would be 3.7, which it says disclose to parties involved any actual or perceived conflicts of interest. Amazon Prime has a long list of services, such as two days fastest shipping, prime video service, prime music service, audible prime service, along with several free books to read through Amazon’s Kindle which is a cross-platforms meaning it can be used on any devices including the web-based one.
Also, another Amazon Prime service is unlimited photos storing service where anyone who has an Amazon Prime membership can upload as many as photos they wish and store them there for storage, which is cloud-based so that they can be accessed at any time anywhere with any devices which are cross-platforms.
If you are a heavy shopper on Amazon like some of the others, including me, Amazon has a service calls Amazon Smile, where they would donate to an organization that you like and donate any commission that they made through your purchases on Amazon without costing you anything. The more stuff you purchase on Amazon, the more money they give to the organization you prefer, and it doesn’t cost you anything because they use the commission (some percent) from your total to that organization. Hence, every time you decide to do some shopping on Amazon, be sure to use the Amazon Smile service! It does keep track of how much funds they have donated to the organization you preferred through your purchases so you can get an idea of how much you have donated without giving anything and that whatever you buy on Amazon, they take some percent from the totals to donate to that organization.
Hello all! I know I haven’t written a snippets article in a great while, I apologize for that and the COVID-19 pretty much have taken over the news so that was more important to make sure that everyone keeps focusing on getting the information on coronavirus aka COVID-19. I hope that every one of you is doing well, I am doing well myself and luckily we have not been exposed to COVID-19 yet (knocks on the wood). So, the Thanksgiving passed us by, Christmas passed us by as well and now the New Year just passed us by. A lot of holidays in a very short period of time, not only that my mother’s birthday is just a few days after Christmas so it means a lot more presents for her and anyone who has a birthday close to Christmas I bet that they like that they were born so close to the Christmas! I was born in winter but not too soon after Christmas though, as my birthday is three months apart from Christmas so I was pretty much born in late winter as my birthday is in March and that isn’t all because I didn’t mention Valentine’s day! Companies thrive due to that because we always buy their products for somebody and then for ourselves in some cases.
