As of lately I have started to use the king of all video calling, instant messaging and group video calling calls Skype with a couple of my friends who happens to be Deaf which that means we communicate in our native language with each others on Skype. In case some of you may not know what I mean by our native language, that would be American Sign Language (ASL) as there are many of us Deaf and Hard of Hearing people’s first language is American Sign Language since that it is the language we started to learn when a tiny brain of ours starts to grow to a point that can understand the communication whether it be American Sign Language, English or any other languages that their parents prefer for their children. After spending a little more time of using Skype, for past years I was somewhat unsure of Skype because ever since I first owned a computer I always used Yahoo! Messenger and that is obviously different from what Skype is since Skype has much more features such as video calling, audio calling which that is something that is useless to me as I am hard of hearing and sharing the screen with other people. These features I mentioned is what are different from Yahoo Messengers, while as for…

The other day I have stumbled upon some researches and watched some videos of a laboratories company named Starkey Hearing Foundation that have not just angered me but angered several individuals in the Deaf community. Starkey is a company that make hearing technology for any individuals that have a problem with hearing and Starkey have led several people to think that Starkey is the hero as it is what Starkey would want you to see them as but they are not really the hero that you thought. There are several articles or videos that have shown where there are public figures individuals such as some of United States of American former presidents like George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and our running for president Hillary Clinton gives the hearing aids to some of the people who are either Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Even the Starkey have said that their hearing technology is the treatment or the solution for anyone who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing just upsets the Deaf community even more because it is misleading as there is several Deaf or Hard of Hearing individuals have said that they limits their freedom more than they have. Why does it limit Deaf or Hard of Hearing individuals freedom more? Because with these technology they cannot do some activities such…
Forgive me as I haven’t written a tidbits article in a very long time as it seems and the reason for that is because either that I have been very busy due to my hectic schedules or don’t have enough of topics for it to be a tidbits article. As some of you know that tidbits article has more than one topic which that tends to make it a long article for the readers to read and to my knowledge there are many readers here at JoshiesWorld.com likes tidbits because it involves more than just one topic which can get boring sometimes as tidbits article has more than one topic so that means something more to read for the readers. Every now and then I like reading long articles but that depends on what it’s about, if it’s tidbits article then that is the kind of long reading article that I like but if just one topic but a very long article to read can be boring sometimes unless the bloggers know how to keep the readers interested without allow the long article of only one topic to become boring. In case if you never have or don’t know what tidbits article are I suggest you to head over on at the top above here to look for a search…
Last year on June 26, 2014 New York Times have written an article with the title that says “What’s the Matter With Eastern Kentucky?” has been discovered by some Facebook users which I am a bit surprised because of the article was written over a year ago and it shows that not many residents in Eastern Kentucky reads New York Times as New York Times is in the top 10 most popular news media outlet especially with their New York Times blog since millions of people have gone digital as opposed to buying the materials which are the newspaper or magazines paperback. Ever since some Facebook users who happens to be Eastern Kentucky residents who discovered the “What’s the Matter With Eastern Kentucky?” article on New York Times website (NYTimes.com) then shared the article to their Facebook wall post which ended up getting more attention than it did last year as there were no Eastern Kentucky residents at that time shared the article on the day they wrote it and ever since it was shared it bring in mixed responses especially in the comments section over at Facebook about “What’s the Matter With Eastern Kentucky?” article written by one of New York Times writer/blogger. As surprised I was with it being discovered by some residents from Eastern Kentucky, I was…
