How are you all?! I hope that everything is well with you all, I know I haven’t done snippets article in a very long time as I have been investing a lot of my time on other parts of JoshiesWorld and that is reviews as some of you already know by now that the reviews are a new addition for JoshiesWorld. Not only that, we all know that Christmas is coming faster than we feel or think and this means that we have been busy or that we are about to get busier than ever especially trying to shop for some of the things for our family and friends! Even I am already thinking about the things or what to do for Christmas I am forgetting that there is Halloween coming up in just a matter of few days and then there is thanksgiving on the way! There are so many things for me, trying to juggle a lot of things and hoping that one of them doesn’t slip through but even sometimes they are difficult I like doing them. Sometimes I fail, sometimes I succeed and that is just the norms for the people who try to accomplish something that they want to accomplish or reaching whatever the goals that they want to reach. Is there something that you…

Deaf Politician Has His Social Security Information Leaked

Some of you may know or may not know who Chris Haulmark is, before I go into it, I would like to share the introduction of who he is because this is important. Chris Haulmark was running for the district third (3rd) Congress in Kansas in the last election (2018 election) as a Democrat and then his advisors along with his citizens suggested that he run as a representative first so that he can get a taste of how the state government works so that way he can be better prepared to become a senator in the next election or two if his citizens think he did a good job as the house of representative in the state of Kansas. He took that advice, changed from third (3rd) district congressional to fifteen (15th) district representative for the state of Kansas and down the road in the election he won the Democratic nomination. Since then, he did a lot of doors knocking and making a vlog in American Sign Language (ASL) a day for 365 days campaigning on Chris Haulmark’s official campaign Facebook page. I even wrote a piece about him in one of my articles in the year 2017 when he was running for the Congress before making the decision to switch the position from Congress to a representative in…

I am hoping that the day is going well so far for you all, as that we are now in the spring season and that is my least favorite season of all the seasons for one or a couple of reasons. For past a month or a couple of months I have been trying to find or think of something to write about but I couldn’t come up with something or it is that I have been very busy lately. Well, it is more than I have been busy lately because ever since the beginning of last month March I have started doing something that I never have did and that is doing something that I have always wanted to but never did so because of a few reasons which I will be sharing in one of my snippets below but before I get into it I want to let all of you know this that I am grateful for your patience and support that you have given to JoshiesWorld or me. It means a lot to me, really and please continue doing so because you all are my motivation otherwise I really wouldn’t have a reason to continue or try to continue especially after doing something as this drastic that I did for the past month. 4-26-2019 Snippets Alright,…

Joshie is back, blogging again and not only just that but also has redesigned the website! I know I haven’t properly written a blog post in a very long time, for many reasons that I rather keep it private, along with the holidays which usually when the people get busy especially during the Christmas time to shop for the presents and getting ready for the New Year Eve or New Year. For several months I have been struggling to find some free time to blog, not just blog but also to maintain several other websites and try to keep up with a few projects that I have going so it has been a hectic time for me lately, so I barely have any time for anything. Since that Christmas is done, New Year is done and now this is the time when people usually either relax or go back to work but, in my case, it is when the time that I relax which is why I can find the time to write this blog post. There are a lot of things that I would like to share on several different topics. 1-2019 Snippets So, let me start off with some of topics that I would like to share and to give you something to talk about by leaving comments…

I Support Net Neutrality

I see that a lot of people in my circle, this including both hearie community and deaf community are very concerned about Federal Communications Commission’s decision on repealing Net Neutrality. I am very glad that a lot of concerns going around because Net Neutrality is a serious matter for many of us, however I also seen many people who are either confused or misleading some others about what Net Neutrality is all about and what impact that it can do if Net Neutrality were to be repealed. First, Net Neutrality is not a law as some people seems to think they are and Net Neutrality is a policy made by Federal Communications Commission which is a federal agency that were founded by government to be the policymakers for the telecommunications. Federal government has several agencies to regulate some things, such as Federal Communications Commission were created by government to regulate television cable, radio, internet, wire, satellite and anything else that has to do with airwaves through the likes of satellites in space as they are what allows us to connect to some things through the airwaves such as internet (including cellular data), radio, television cable or others. Just like Health and Human Services is one of federal government’s agency to regulate healthcare, Medicare, Medicaid and anything else that has to…

People’s Perception of Deaf People

I would like to remind many of you with a disclaimer for this that this is my view, my thought and my perception of what I see out of the people’s perception on the Deaf people because every Deaf and Hard of Hearing have different experiences, therefore, they can share what it is to be under the microscope of the people who we labeled “hearies”. I am only sharing what I have witnessed on hand from what the hearies people have a perception of the Deaf people and Hard of Hearing including myself as I am one of many Deaf people in the world. So, I encourage the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to share their thoughts on what it is like to get an idea of how the hearies people view them as or of. Now that we get this out, as I have said that this is my view for getting the idea of what the hearies have a perception of us Deaf and Hard of Hearing people. It is no secret that the Deaf people don’t have it easy, in fact, they must work as twice hard to survive whether it be trying to get a job from somewhere and being oppressed by many of people for several decades. I have seen, I am certain that many…

1-5-2017 Tidbits

Hey guys and women! I see that a lot of the people starts getting back to their routines, back to work, some adults being sent back to the colleges and some children being sent back to schools which I am sure that some of the parents are a bit happy about that since with their children being sent back to school would give them a little relief or some room to breathe after trying to handle these wild children for a couple of the weeks due to Christmas break. My mother is a special aide at a middle school as she has been for more than a decade or two, she assists the children with some kinds of special needs and I think she has worked for so many years so I sometimes would ask her to retire so that I could have my mother at home without having to worry about if something was to happen to her there. For some reason, as the years goes by I starts getting more worried over her going to work because I believe that if she is to retire that she would have much less risks to her health and by retiring I believe that she will continue to be very healthy as she is now. When my aunt broke her ankle…

Reflection of ’16 & Happy New Year ‘17

Hey guys and women! I would like to wish all of you a very happy new year 2017! I am sure that some of your nights are still going on as it is still early night at 2:20AM and I hope that those of you who party with alcohol to be careful with deciding about driving because I highly recommend that you call a taxi or uber to drive you home. Even though if you aren’t drinking it is still dangerous to be driving on the road especially tonight since it is the new year and I am certain that there is a lot of people whose driving drunk so keep your eyes out for them. Everyone is celebrating the New Year, as everybody have every right to celebrate the new year but I am somewhat not in mood for celebration because there are a few reasons which I will share a bit later below. I watched the New Year ball drops as we always watch the ball drops on New Year eve every year, we would celebrate every year until tonight we are starting to realize that it feels as if it is just another day even though we know that it is the New Year and now I don’t really see the point in celebrating for the New…
