I am hoping that the day is going well so far for you all, as that we are now in the spring season and that is my least favorite season of all the seasons for one or a couple of reasons. For past a month or a couple of months I have been trying to find or think of something to write about but I couldn’t come up with something or it is that I have been very busy lately. Well, it is more than I have been busy lately because ever since the beginning of last month March I have started doing something that I never have did and that is doing something that I have always wanted to but never did so because of a few reasons which I will be sharing in one of my snippets below but before I get into it I want to let all of you know this that I am grateful for your patience and support that you have given to JoshiesWorld or me. For about almost a month by now, I have hired a professional designer to do a logo for JoshiesWorld because since I did a redesign for the new look of JoshiesWorld, moved JoshiesWorld from an old run down the mill hosting company to one of the fastest and largest companies that do servers for the websites. Didn’t stop there, I also had done a bunch of upgrading backends such as optimizing to make sure that JoshiesWorld.com would load quickly as possible on both desktop and mobile versions. I have done a lot for JoshiesWorld.com since the new year, as one of the goals for my 2019 resolutions is that I take JoshiesWorld to the next level and believe it I am going to but in order to do so I have to do something major which was the redesign but as you see it’s done but I had this nagging feeling that even with the new look in design of the website there is something still amiss. As lately, I have been paying a large number of dollars making a drastic improvement by a complete redesign back in January, a move from an small unknown hosting provider to a large server company at the end of February and then paid even for more speed and bandwidth to make it goes from average 2-3 seconds loading speed to 200-800ms. That’s not all, I also had to pay a bunch of backend tools such as a drastic security improvement for all of the websites including JoshiesWorld.com and then paid all the essentials to make sure that all the websites to runs smoothly without any loss. This is the most drastic improvement that I have done for JoshiesWorld.com but some for the rest of others such as JoshuaBSullivan.com and AppalachianCrawlers.com but my priority were all JoshiesWorld.com. Just last week I have hired a professional designer to rework my logo, which is in progress of revisions and waiting for my approval so it should be ready within’ a week if all is well. Google have decided to change their policy on their monetization system for YouTube, anyone who has less than 1,000 subscribers and less 4,000 views annually (both combined will be required) will be affected if they already are accepted in their monetization system for their YouTube channels. I must say that I disagree with this idea, because Google didn’t realize that there are many Deaf and Hard of Hearing people who uses YouTube has very hard time getting any subscribers because they use their native language in their videos which is American Sign Language so this greatly limits their audience in general. Even, myself I don’t have that much subscribers although I do have the views on my YouTube channel which has been registered since the year of 2008 or earlier I believe, and I am myself Deaf so therefore I only use my native language in my videos which is American Sign Language, so I can only reach to a very limited audience due to that. Deaf and Hard of Hearing YouTube users has hard time getting subscribers because most YouTube users uses different vocal languages while we only use visual languages, and this isn’t only American Sign Language but also many other country’s sign language such as British Sign Language (BSL) or Latino Sign Language (LSL), etc. I ask…
How are you doing today? I hope that all of you are doing very well, I am doing well myself although I have been very busy lately and I am getting a bit more excited that the summer is coming to end because if you recall in a few of articles that I have written a while back that I am a big fan of winter. Because of the snow and the cold weather if its average temperature for cold such as 20-30 degrees because if under that then it would become somewhat intolerable for me. Not only that, while I do love snow but I don’t like when they get to the point that we would be stuck for a long time or on these days when we have an appointment with the doctors of ours and whatnot but if it’s snowed in on the days that we are not needed somewhere then that is what I am all for as long as we don’t lose electricity. I wasn’t sure if I could ever find the time to write an article for the blog but since I am writing this, obviously that means I have and the time I got is so little so I hope that I will be able to at least finish this article tonight and have it published before I head out to bed. Right now, it is at 2:05AM at very late night, I know I have not written an article for a few days because I have been very busy lately as I had a lot of things on my plate that I needed to do and still have a lot things on my plate that I need to do.
