Blogging Tidbits

Most of us bloggers who have a passion in blogging or journalism always seeks a way to improve ourselves as a blogger, because there is always a way to improve our blogging skills and looking a way to build our creditable because whether it be as bloggers or in any forms of journalism such as reporting or editing newspaper it is very important that we have a creditable to back ourselves otherwise it would be hard to gain some trust from readers. Some of the people don’t think bloggers have a place in journalism, as the journalists that works in newspapers blamed us bloggers for wrecking their journalists career because since the early 2000s the blogosphere boomed and being able to deliver information quicker than newspaper would be so many newspapers lost their readers to us which this means they realized that so they decided to start their own blogs (some of them call it online newspaper but it’s blog even though they will deny that) and laid off old-fashioned newspaper editors or their employees that takes care of printing newspapers using linotype machine which is what used to produce newspapers after editors wrote a draft then passed it down to linotypers. I will be one of few to say that, unfortunately the growth of blogs did caused the newspapers industry to dwindle and caused the newspaper industries to lay off unimaginable numbers of editorials and employees including the people who works with linotype machines which is the heart of the newspapers as they were what produced newspapers. They are basically printers for newspapers and linotype machines requires a lot of labor unlike these printers we have at home because once the editorials have made drafts then sends them to them and they would have to put letter blocks inside a square to print the wordings.

Linotype machines employees were majority of people who is Deaf and Hard of Hearing. That is somewhat more bothersome for me personally, because I am Deaf myself and I take a part in blogs boomer in early 2000s as this blog JoshiesWorld is one of the early weblog launched.

However it is good to see that even though we may caused a lot of newspapers company to lose readers they are growing even larger than they ever have been with physical newspapers as they decided to go digital and join the blogosphere. Some of them may will tell you that it is online news but it is technically a blog that they are running, these are the people who still blames us for nearly killing their company but in the end we made them bigger than they have been in the past and we have not been thanked for that yet. I can still see some grudge from some of these newspapers companies towards us bloggers, few of them would tell us to get a life and do something more useful than to blog while they are not doing any different from we are doing as they uses blogs to publish news or information while at the same time produces decent amounts of newspapers so that’s a win-win for them in my eyes so where’s our thanks? Anyway I am not even going to bother with that subject as I want to talk a few things about blogging itself and as well for bloggers.

Blogging Tidbits

If you want to become a blogger then you must question yourself this, are you willing to be committed being a blogger and do you think you have a passion to become a blogger? Passion in journalism counts as blogging is a part of journalism regardless what some of these newspapers beg differ which this somewhat makes them an hypocrisy of themselves as they calls themselves journalists using the blog systems. If you do have a passion in journalism then you are more than free to give blogging a try as it have become essential for readers now as everybody owns smartphones, tablets or computers so majorly they prefers to read information or news from online than to read the newspapers.

Win Or Lose

Blogging is pretty much a gamble for everybody and for anyone who wants to become a blogger. Some bloggers struck out jackpot in blogging with millions of readers that pulls them in millions of dollars per year and good numbers of bloggers are one-man or one-woman blogger that brings close to or over a million dollars every year. Some bloggers also hits a bottom and ended up spending thousands of dollars that they never will get back by spending monthly bills for servers. That is to exclude other things such as domains, domains billed every year but servers is what drains your wallet if you don’t commit yourself to your weblogs and know what it is to brings in revenue using different methods to earn money. So if you have never owned a website, wanting to become a blogger then be sure that you know that you do have a passion and know that you will commit a lot of your times into your blog.

Opinions, Niches and Information

I am known for a blogger who have some strong opinions, that’s the original reason to why I founded JoshiesWorld because I want to share some of my opinions while at the same time sharing some valuable information with the readers. Every one of us have our own opinions so don’t ever expect that all of us shares the same opinions because that is impossible, there may be some people who do agree with your opinions or share your opinions and some of the people who disagree with your opinions or don’t share your opinions which that is something that you have to expect for. There are so many bloggers, several bloggers choose a niche for their blog such as technology, business, politics or whatever else and focus on only that one niche per blog. That is something that I don’t believe in, although they do works but I strongly think that being broad in general works better because it allows me to share all kinds of information and talk about all kinds of subjects instead of focusing on one niche. Some bloggers call themselves by niche, fashion blogger, foodies blogger, sports blogger, technology blogger and forth. They can be successful, as a few of bloggers who only blog about one niche became successful which I congratulate them for that but I prefer to be what they call a general blogger or simply just a blogger without any niches which that means I am to talk about anything I feels like without limiting myself to one or two niches only so thinking out of the box!

So think about what kind of blog you want to focus on and stick with it. You can be a blogger or a general blogger like myself and share whatever you feels you like which can be successful depending how you do about it. However no matter what, always try to remind yourself to try not to give any kinds of misinformation and always have the sources to back up your information that you provide in your contents. Every one of us have the right to share our opinions and voice them only as long as if we don’t give any misinformation because it would ruins our creditable very easily so you must be careful with that. Of course not every one of us can be perfect, I am sure that we may end up giving one or two misinformation but if you did unintentionally then go back to that post and edit to replace with the correct one or add an additional note to say that these information you shared is hearsay or whatnot so that people can beware that the information you shared may be true or may not be true so that you cannot be blamed for any misinformation. No, don’t say that in every post because you will be on a fast-track to ruining your creditable so it is very important that whatever your opinions are that you shared with your readers that you have the sources to back them up and to make sure that the information you based your opinions on is not a misinformation.

Monetize Methods

There is a few way to monetize your blog, however you would not be eligible to monetize your blog right away because your blog is too new and there is no advertisers that would want to take any chance to pay you to advertise their stuff on your blog through third-party program. Depending on few third-party services, they have the requirement for you to qualify to monetize your blog by using their service and the number one requirement by all the services is that you have several contents on your blog. By contents I mean posts or articles and no, they cannot be made up or writing 100 articles/posts per day in a week and cheat your way in. They are very smarter than that, they screen your blog manually as they have their employees to do so and at the same time sending in their bots to scan your blog to make sure that your contents is authentic. So this is where you will have to learn how to be patient, when you started out a blog you just focus on the only one thing and that is to produce quality contents. Do research, make sure that the information you are writing on your blog have some sources to back them up if there are any and keep blogging. Give yourself a month or two minimum at best, blog and produce quality contents everyday. Don’t go and write 10 articles a day because that wouldn’t look right for one person. I would recommend 2-5 a day. I do 1 every other two days and sometimes I skips them when I found myself too busy to be able to blog.

Once you have crossed a month or two then I recommend that you give Google Adsense a try, they are the best monetizing service specifically for bloggers and sign up. You can visit here: Google.com/Adsense

It may take you up to a month, two or three or maybe longer for Google to approve your application to join their publishing program to use the service and place their advertisements on your blog so that Google will pay you for doing so monthly. Although they will only pay you if you have reached $100 monthly, such as if you have made $50 this month then you won’t get that paycheck and then you get another $50 next month which that will sums up $100 then that is when you will get the paycheck as they only do $100 minimum.

While waiting for approval, you can sign up with affiliate programs such as Amazon Affiliate program to advertise the products from Amazon on your website and when anybody buys something from Amazon on your blog you will get some commission from them for it.

Be Faithful and Have Common Sense

Always be faithful to your readers, they will be the reason that your blog have some success because if it weren’t for them then how can you grow your blog? You cannot grow your blog without them and that is a fact. Any time you do a piece for your blog, always know that there is a good chance that there will be some children who come across your blog and ends up reading them. That is why you barely see me use some cussing words anywhere on this blog because it’s a common sense as when anything is open to the public then it’s a given that some children will come across here and read. I welcome every one, if you are to share anything dirty then be sure to use a large size font declaring that it is intended for only adults and anyone with permission from their parents or guardians.

Thank Them

Here and there be sure to let them know that you appreciate them because they will like that in you. They are the reason that your blog is growing so make sure that you thank them and make sure that they feels welcomed. You can be positive and negative but as long as you make sure that they are appreciated for their time reading your blog because it is their time.

Be Careful With Advertising

Be very careful when it comes to looking for a way to advertise your blog because it can be a dangerous thing to do so. How dangerous? That one hiccups can causes a search engine to permanently blacklist your blog from their search engines and that would pretty much end your grow right there on the spot because having your blog in their search engines is essential. Make sure that you don’t copy anyone’s articles or blog to your blog because search engines like Google or Bing don’t like that and it’s a quick way to blacklist your blog. You can only link your readers to somebody else articles or blog but you cannot write or copy what they wrote in their blog though.

Also don’t overdo it. By overdoing it can make your blog to come as a scam, it’s also another way to have your blog blacklisted too by search engines and that will prevent anyone from finding your blog in their search engines. So I suggest that you do some research in how to advertise your blog before you decide to advertise your blog, you can advertise your blog from mouth, have them on your shirts, hats or make stickers of them for your vehicles or whatnot. It is safest way but when it comes to advertising your blog online that is where you have to be careful with how you go about advertising your blog, you can share your blog on social media which that would be nothing wrong with that but I am speaking of the like of links exchanging or pay somebody to advertise your blog because you do not want to advertise your blog on a porn website or whatnot.

The End

That’s that for now, I am getting tired and my brain is starting to not work properly so I must stop here but if I can think of anything else I will add to this article so keep an eye of yours out for it in case if I do. If I do have something else to add then I will announce it on my social media such as Facebook page or Twitter.
