Double Kwik’s Pizza Roll

Double Kwik is a convenience store and a gasoline station all over in the commonwealth of Kentucky. Double Kwik only serves the Commonwealth of Kentucky at the moment. Still, there is a piece of small good news for the people over in the Commonwealth of Virginia as there is one in Grundy in Buchana County and another one in Pound in Wise County! What is unique about Double Kwik you ask me? The simple answer is their infamous pizza roll! I was raised eating their pizza roll, and still, over thirteen years later, I still eat their pizza roll. Their pizza roll is not just a pizza roll that you would purchase from the store and then shove it in a microwave or oven to heat it. They make their pizza rolls within’ the store, fresh and baked, then put on a heated display for the customers to order along with others such as their Philly Steak roll, which is familiar as their pizza roll except that this one is with Philly Steak and cheese.

Since the day I started eating them as a toddler to this day I eat them as an adult I don’t see any much difference, and that is a good thing because that means they stay with their original pizza roll without modifying them too much or adding other items to them because they are so good not to be changed! I am talking about flaky buttered, toasted bread rolled with pepperoni and ham melted inside the cheese, then top it off with parmesan. Only a complaint I have is that they often run out of them. After all, everyone orders them as they are watering delicious that no one can avoid after taking the first taste of their pizza roll for the first time because they will keep going back there for them in particular so often.

Anyone who doesn’t live in Kentucky and has tried them, I empathize with them. Hopefully, one day that Double Kwik will grow and expand outside of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Back then, it wasn’t even Double Kwik as it was called Happy Mart. They renamed Happy Mart to Double Kwik when they started growing larger by adding more convenience stores with gasoline stations all over in Commonwealth of Kentucky, but the pizza roll stays the same, which I am so glad that they do.

If you are in Kentucky and you see a convenience store with a gasoline station, then be sure to make a stop to see if they have some pizza roll! I highly recommend them I think you should get two instead of one when you make a stop because after eating the first one you will wish that you had another one which is an often pattern with many of us. Pizza Roll is not the only food that they sell as they have other foods such as breakfast menu, gravy with biscuits, biscuit, and eggs sandwich or whatnot, but the most important of all is their pizza roll! If you look at their menu online, there is a high chance that you will not see that they offer pizza roll does not mean that they don’t have them so be sure to ask them when you are at the counter for some pizza roll or often you would see them in a heated display on their table.

I am rating Double Kwik’s pizza roll with 3.9, and that translates extremely good!
