GM autos will be a rolling wifi hotspot.

General Motors (GM) LogoRecent the vehicles maker GM who make the platforms of vehicles such as Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, and Buick has announced the news saying that their newest vehicles which is 2015 will have a new bling or accessories however you would like to call it this year for customers. The bling-bling or accessory is going to be a new gadget for your vehicle on the dashboard where your GPS, radio and mp3 players is located at in their 2015 vehicles so if you are planning on to buy a vehicle from General Motors (GM) then I would suggest you to wait a bit longer because if you go ahead and buy a new vehicle then this will be the one of moment where you regret buying it and wish that you had waited a bit longer before buying a vehicle from the General Motors (GM) dealership and trust me because this new accessory that’s going to be added to their newest 2015 vehicles is going to be crazy but it’s something that we can rock and roll with while cruising or better yet pulling over to the side of the road to press some buttons for this new accessory that’s being added to their dashboard. What? You haven’t got the hint what is going to be on their dashboard? Pulling over to the side of the road and park to press some the buttons on their dashboard – Put on your thinking hat!

Answer: GM is adding internet, wi-fi hotspot.

After reading my hint, did you guess it right or not? Leave the comment below and let me know! But if you guessed that the new accessory or a bling is the internet then you guessed it right. Yes General Motors (GM) is adding the internet to your vehicles especially the newest vehicles for 2015 so if you are planning on to buy the new vehicles from General Motors (GM) then I would suggest you to wait a bit longer and keep in a touch with your General Motors (GM) dealership to see when they bring the ones in that has the internet to hold the new vehicle for you to go over to check it out and if it is to your liking then buy it then you will be a rolling wi-fi and that’s a bit of funny way of saying it – A rolling wi-fi, yep.

General Motors (GM) company has released an announcement saying that they will be rolling out the wi-fi hotspot for their vehicles and said that they will be selling at least 30 or more vehicles that has that feature to their 2015 vehicles and the wi-fi internet that’s coming out on their new vehicles is actually 4LTE data who will be provided by AT&T (I know! I wished it was somebody else) but said that the new customers who buys the vehicles with wi-fi hotspot will have free 3 months of 4LTE service for 3 months with 3GB limits of data but then after that you would have to start paying if you wish to keep it longer and it’s going to cost you $10 a month for 200MB (what the heck?! Too small) that would cover for 6.5 hours using Pandora or for roughly 13 hours surfing the internet but if you would like to exceed that limits it would cost you $20 dollars for 1GB (too small) of data monthly, $30 for 3GB (Still too small, I need a lot more!) of data monthly or $50 for 50GB (now we’re talking!) of data monthly.

It said that adding the 4G LTE data as wi-fi hotspot for the vehicles is more useful for GPS and safety which I am assuming that it will tell you if anyone is coming in your way or is driving too close to you or similar on live. General Motors (GM) said that their 2015 Malibu will be the first car to be installed and it is due in June and the other vehicles will be then equipped such as Chevrolet Impala, Corvette, Cruse, Silverado, Equinox, four Buick models, six GMC vehicles, the ATS, CTS, SRX and three others from Cadillac. Also said that it will be equipped the rest of their vehicles in the future.

The General Motors (GM) will be the first United States vehicles makers to be equipped with 4G LTE services they said, although there has already been other maker recently started equipping the 4G LTE service Audi which is German vehicles. So this is going to be interesting to have wi-fi hotspot in the vehicles especially on the road, imagine you logging on social media while driving on the road and chatting with your friends on Facebook? Scary thought, my thought exactly. But it’s great for the passengers and the backseat especially going on a long trips and having your children in the backseat with Ipad streaming some movies or on Netflix and keep the Ipad charged by plugged in the AC adapter! Now that’s going to be fun even for the adults too but not only that, it will be more useful for the driver as well especially using GPS and voice feature where you can tell the device to do things for you like reading your e-mail or reading Facebook messages and then you can respond back by having the voice to type themselves out for you and have it sent but I don’t even know if that’s possible yet though but I am sure that’s how it is going to be nonetheless especially that there are few apps that does it for you regardless what apps you are using like Google voice.

So the fans of General Motors (GM) are probably going to get excited reading about this news, but am I excited? No, why? Because I am not a fan of General Motors (GM) although I do like them and they are my second choice because I am Ford man (I am proud 95′ Mustang owner) and I even envy General Motors (GM) for that instead of Ford doing this but there is no news about if Ford is going to equip 4G LTE services for their new vehicles yet or not but for now there is no news regards to that but I can dream! But I am sure that Ford eventually will be equipped with them as the rest of makers will be doing them after General Motors (GM) because it’s becoming a common since everyone starting to not use computers anymore and use their tablet or smartphone which I don’t like that because what everyone needs to realize is that the point of having smartphone and tablets is “mobile” and if you are home or at work then use computer because that is what they are for and beside they have a lot more of things to do on it than the smartphone or tablet will ever have.

But let me remind you one thing though before thinking about getting the vehicles with 4G LTE wi-fi hotspot that it is not necessary because if you have smartphone then you can have 4G LTE hotspot in your vehicles using your smartphone while putting it on charged by plugging in AC and turn on your tablets or laptops and use your smartphone data which is called teetering. Some smartphone features doesn’t have it but all of Iphone does and I believe Samsung Galaxy/S models has it too, so it would be cheaper and more necessary of using your smartphone as a wi-fi hotspot in your vehicles and have your tablets or laptops connects your smartphone data as wi-fi then you are set to go although most of the smartphone has no more than 10GB limits of data which is almost enough for anything monthly but if it is very necessary and that it is a must for you to exceed over that 10GB limits then I guess it would make more sense of going with the 4G LTE service equipped vehicles.

I must wrap this up because it’s getting closer to my bed time but before I do, I would like to ask you a question and you can answer by leaving the comment below or leave a wall post on official JoshiesWorld Facebook page but the question is what you think about the idea of General Motors (GM) equipping their vehicles with 4G LTE? Would you buy yourself a rolling wi-fi hotspot vehicle and why?

Thank you very much for reading this article and I hope that all of you have a great night. I apologize that this article may not be one of my best because I am in a bit of hurry and I almost couldn’t reach my goal to make 2 articles every two days so I had to write this article to make it a 2nd article and before writing this article I was reading the news about it and thought that I would write about it here to let all of you to know about it and share my opinion along with it.
