Happy Mother Day!

So as every one of us know that tonight at the midnight turns into Sunday which is Mother’s day where our mothers celebrates for being a mother that put us into this world. Also it’s the day where we give our thanks to our mother for being a mother to us and being there for us when we need them and we know that the mother is the only one that we go to when we have a problem or need someone to talk about. I do know that there are few of children that has no mothers but fathers instead but it’s very common that there are mothers more than father, but let’s take the time to give our respect to our mother to this day.

In this post I would like to dedicate to my mother. My mother’s name Brenda Sullivan, she born in Williamson, WV on January 7th, (Josh! I don’t want anyone to know my age! – Fine, fine mom. I won’t). I was born in March 18th, 1987, I am twenty-seven years old and I was born at a local hospital in Williamson, WV. When I was born there was very slim chance that I was going to survive this means that my mother almost didn’t get to be a mother to celebrate the mother’s day. Yes, that means I almost didn’t make it and in fact I wasn’t going to make it. When the doctor told my mother that I wasn’t going to make it past age 7 because when I was born I had so many problems going on with my health, so many that you could ever imagine and I was so sick that the doctor even didn’t think I was going to survive but then I held on long enough until I was transferred to Huntington hospital in West Virginia which is bigger hospital with skilled doctors and even the skilled doctor at a very large hospital said that I wasn’t going to make it long and everyone in the family including my mother was worried and it was probably their worst nightmare and everyone in the family prayed for me to pull through so here I am writing this post and I am two decades past the age I was supposed to be already under the dirt with a tombstone and my name stretched in but I am not because it’s miracle that got me through, their prayers and the lord gave me another chance to live and I am thankful for that. So that gives my mother chance to be a mother and today is the mother day that my mother truly deserve.

I had to take so many trips to the hospital and every time I went to the hospital, my mother always there and when I had to stay for almost a month after breaking my femur in my right leg and my mother never left me while everybody else did. When I had to undergo a major surgery on my back which is a bit over a feet long cut in vertical way and had to stay at the hospital for a while to recover and to be under monitored, my mother never left my side. When I was very little child and lived at the first house I fell and hit the back of my head on the corner of the table (Yes mom even at that age I remember) and my mother freaked out and had to take me to the hospital immediately and it didn’t happen once but twice that I fell and hit the back of my head on the corner of the table which was quite painful. Then when I was riding on a small four-wheeler that I owned long time ago down at Turkey Creek and I accidentally popped a wheelie and couldn’t hold onto the handlebar and fell from it and busted the back of my head (seems like it becomes a thing, hitting back of my head) and my friend Charles had to help me to take me back on the four-wheeler but I was dizzy but I still had to drive so I could get to the phone and Charles had to run in to the house to get his mother and his mother called my mother and here she came flying in one of her ex boyfriend’s truck (literally flying) and took me to the hospital.

Like I said I took too many trips to the hospital but what matters to me the most is that my mother was never without me, when or wherever I needs her she’s right there no question asked. She was also with me throughout my sports years, playing for t-ball, football and basketball to cheer on me and even in one of season there was no coach to take on for a t-ball team my mother had to volunteer to coach for the t-ball team for one season just so that I could continue to play because T-ball was my thing and the sport that I was so good at. She never missed any of my important events such as every prom, graduation and others. So in a way she was my mother and my father because my father wasn’t there for me much, I’ll give you an example to get the idea of what kind my father is. One of the night I went to a dance at my old school with my ex girlfriend Amber and when I gets home after the dance I fell beside the stairs at the old trailer where I used to live at the night and it was pour raining so everything I touch and walks on was muddy and very wet and when I was stepping up on the stairs and I slipped right on the top of the stairs just a step before I get to the porch (close call but unlucky!) and I slipped and fell over the side of the stairs and the trailer in between and my knee fell right onto the big hole and I screamed loud as I could and everybody ran out and my father was there because my father was there to give my mother the paycheck for the child support and I will admit that my father was the first who ran and jumped off the porch and grabbed me and carried me into the trailer but it was because my father was the closest to the door as he was just about to leave but when my father carried me to the couch and my mother asked me if I could straighten up my leg or if I could move it but I couldn’t so right there and then I told my mother that it’s broken so she had to take me to the hospital by herself and I asked my father to come with me and my father responded with and I quote “I am too tired, I need to get going to home” (it didn’t surprise me) so my mother carried me off the couch and to the car from the trailer by herself and drove me the hospital in emergency room herself and at that time I was 7 years old and I had to be transported to Huntington hospital thankfully, because the hospital I went isn’t that great but anyway I was transported to hospital in helicopter (how awesome is that, I get to ride a helicopter!) and was transferred there and had to stay for almost a month and the whole time my mother never left my side.

But that’s not all. At my grandmother’s house one day we all had a dinner, I believe a cook out dinner when we was grilling some foods and I got choked on the food and I couldn’t get it out of my throat and I couldn’t breath, my face and lips was turning pale and blue so my family (mom, grandmother, aunt and uncle) knew that I am choked and can’t get it out so they had to immediately taken me to emergency room at a hospital in Williamson, WV called Williamson Memorial hospital where my grandmother used to work as a nurse for whole of her life but before I could get to the emergency room I finally got it out of my throat by my mother hitting on my back and I was able to cough it out and I was still having hard time breathing and they said that there is fluids in my lungs so I had to be transported to another hospital, guess where? Huntington hospital by helicopter (2nd ride!) and when I get there, my mother, my aunt and grandmother wasn’t allowed to ride with me to helicopter (shame! It would’ve been fun ride for them too) so my aunt had to take her car and drive all of them to the hospital in Huntington where I was transferred to and they got there very quickly for an hour and half drive in about 45 minutes and I was in the emergency room waiting on my family to arrive there and when they arrived there, my mother asked me how I was doing and guess what I said by responding? Where’s my shoes! Shoes? Well yes, I love wearing shoes and shoes is my thing so don’t ask me.

That’s not all. I had to take several trips to the children hospital in Cincinnati in Ohio and my mother, my aunt and grandmother were there with me for few of times but for most of time it was my mother and my aunt and once with my aunt’s boyfriend Danny but I had to go there so many times for something I don’t even remember the reason but I guess it has to do with my back probably because I have sisologics or whatever that spells. But after few trips to the children hospital in Cincinnati they then allowed me to stay in a very fancy hotel which that’s my favorite part of going there.

Then in 2005 after graduating from high school (whoo!) I got in a wreck with one of my best friend Robert Wolfe in Huntington, WV when we was going there for the mall to shop in Huntington at Huntington mall and my mother was with us and Robert was the driver but one morning Robert was getting sleepy because we had stayed up all night and for very brief few of seconds Robert was looking at the radio to turn the volume down so he could hear what I was trying to tell him but then my mother yelled at Robert telling him to watch out on the road because Robert was starting to steer us into the wrong lane and the mistake was that Robert reacted too quick and steered quickly and too much and that puts us into sliding all over the place and we was speeding on the speed limit which was 60 mph so it happened so quick and we almost had went over the hill but luckily Robert kept us steered on the other side to attempt to take us into a land but almost took us into a pole which could have split us in half but it was extremely close call and we missed it then finally we jumped into the ditch and it harmed my back by making myself jumped out of the seat and my back had hit on the passenger side of the door which was where I was sitting in but then I got back into the seat which this cracked my lower back disc and I had to be transported in ambulance to Huntington hospital and I was the only one that was in severe and very painful, I couldn’t even sit up or move but I was dismissed on the same day and when I was beginning to jump out of the seat, my mother from the backseat jumped and tried to held onto me so I wouldn’t jump out of the window because I wasn’t wearing a belt (oops!) and the whole time my mother stayed my side and when I was on my way back home I couldn’t bear with my back pain and it was very miserable and when I got home I then immediately got into the bed and laid there, I couldn’t get out of the bed for a week and half so my mother had to nurse me for the whole of a week and half by giving me medicines to help my back pain and to keep me asleep so I wouldn’t have to bear with the pain and then fixed me some foods to feed me and bring me something to drink. Then a week and a half later I went to a local hospital for a checkup on my back and I was starting to heal and I finally started getting out of the bed but taking it slow.

So in the end, my mother has never left my side and she never will. She is the only best mother I could ever ask for and when I need something she would always have to get it for me just to make me happy even she didn’t have to do and when I need her to do something even she didn’t have to do anything but she still do it anyway because she loves me and she said that in her eyes that I am just a normal person who is a son of her because where I am disabled. She always have been there through hell and back for me and it was more than anything I could ever repay for her actions and for what she has done for me. If anybody tells me no for something, my mom is always there to make them to change their mind and tell me yes, it’s just how special she is and not only for all of things she did for me but she also did anything for anybody that ask of her especially children which is why she works at middle school and the pay isn’t so well and the pay that she gets for working at middle school didn’t even cover the half of the bills we have but she still always make sure to cover the bills just so I can have the roof to live under and some clothes to have on my back and an internet for me to have fun with and for me to do something that is one of my passions which is blogging. Beside my grandmother, my aunt Debbie and my uncle Brian my mother always there for me and she isn’t going to stop being there. She’s very special to me and to my life, she is who I am and what I am today beside my grandmother, my aunt Debbie and my uncle Brian. She raised me to be someone who I am proud of to be and the way I am proud to be myself because everything of me and inside me is all from her, my heart and the reason I am living for and someone to go to or come to. She’s not only just a mother, but my mother that I love very much and is very dear to my heart and my soul and always will be.

Happy Mother Day!

Mom thank you for being there for me for all of my life and doing anything for me even you know that you didn’t have to do and I know there’s sometime that you struggles doing so but you still have to find a way to overcome that just to give me something or to make me happy and I never will forget that. You are the reason I am breathing today and you are my life and the one I call my hero and only one hero in my own eyes. I thank you for everything you have done for me and I wish there is something that I could make it up for all of things you have done for me because I would do, and I would go further than a moon just for you if I have to. It bothers me to this day that it’s too impossible for me to reach the level of the things that you have done for me because I cannot ever be able to get as much as what you have done for me and if there was one of a lifetime that I ever can do would be to get everything for you just to put a smile on your face because then that’s all it matters to me and then I can know that I have accomplished the biggest of the goal of this lifetime of mine. I thank you with my heart and my life, mom. I love you always and forever, more than anything you can ever possibly begin to imagine. I love you to the moon back to the moon, to the world and universe to the heaven and beyond. Thank you mom and happy mother’s day.
