For about almost a month by now, I have hired a professional designer to do a logo for JoshiesWorld because since I did a redesign for the new look of JoshiesWorld, moved JoshiesWorld from an old run down the mill hosting company to one of the fastest and largest companies that do servers for the websites. Didn’t stop there, I also had done a bunch of upgrading backends such as optimizing to make sure that JoshiesWorld.com would load quickly as possible on both desktop and mobile versions. I have done a lot for JoshiesWorld.com since the new year, as one of the goals for my 2019 resolutions is that I take JoshiesWorld to the next level and believe it I am going to but in order to do so I have to do something major which was the redesign but as you see it’s done but I had this nagging feeling that even with the new look in design of the website there is something still amiss. I have thought it over and over on whether I should or not to do that but I did as I took the leap by hiring a professional to design a logo.
Out With The Old, In With The New!
That line was in my thought when I decided to bring on a professional graphic designer who does illustration type of design, because my old logos (except the very first one, first one was a homemade photoshopped one back in 2008-2009) are illustration but it is or was more of a 2D and this is all about reworking to bring it more of a 3D instead of a complete redesign because that wouldn’t make a sense especially for what this is about or for. Before I get into it, revealing the new logo, about 5 years ago since JoshiesWorld came out with the official logo which I have published an article (you can read it here) when I revealed that logo back in 2014 where I decided to throw a contest for several designers on a webmasters forum and whichever I like the best would win cash from me but this time I decided to go for a new logo because it was the time to do so especially that I am wanting to take it to the next level so I have decided to hire a professional instead to design the logo for me. What a experience, because in a contest it was basically a guessing game for people to come up with a logo but this time I had to actually discuss the process, designs and whatnot with a team of professionals who did the design of this new logo then done a lot of back and forth e-mails to keep in check with me while showing me the process that they have gone through with the new logo each day than waiting for my feedbacks or suggestions each time that I’ve got an e-mail from them waiting before they can go further in the process with the logo design so that takes about almost a month. A not exactly full month, more of three weeks but when I did a contest in a forum for the competition of graphic designers to come up with something and it took them about half a week to come up with the best logo that I have been using for years now. Almost didn’t need to communicate with me while in contest either, as they just throw piles of many different logos then wait for my approval and if I didn’t like it then they would go back to the drawing board to do something else then come back to the forum with another sample and so forth but with the professional instead of doing the contest it was just a completely different process which I was dumbfounded by the process at the first but then I understood why they do that way because it was to make sure that the logo is the way I want instead of picking this or that.
I gave the team of professional designers with a bunch of my pictures, selfies, and whatnot to put myself in the new logo. The old logo is starting to not look like me any longer because I become older, I lost some weight, my beard has gotten longer and wider so now it’s looking more updated me.
Okay, I am sorry for keeping you waiting any longer, but I hope you like the new logo better than the old logo I have been using past these years. During the process with the professionals, it wasn’t just me involved but my family was also involved so I am sure that this probably puts a thorn in their side because it was a lot of communication between both parties on this new logo – it was that intense. Additional note that I’d like to say before wrapping this up, I know I have been talking a lot about the new things that I have been doing with JoshiesWorld instead of really writing articles that have nothing to do with JoshiesWorld or other personal things but it is something that I take a pride in because after all, it is me. I have been extremely busy with changing JoshiesWorld around for the frontend and the backend but with the completion of the new logo, I am very close of clearing up my plate which that means I should be able to refocus back to writing articles and back to the business.
