When I was surfing for some news and I decided to look into Packers news to see if there’s anything major news for Green Bay Packers team because Green Bay Packers is my favorite team and I came across one exciting news about one player named Matt Flynn who drafted into Green Bay Packers as 7th round (209th overall) in 2008 as a backup quarterback for Aaron Rodgers until in 2012 the Packers made a mistake by letting him go and he signed with Seattle Seahawks for three years but he got traded in 2013 with Oakland Raiders for a 2014 5th round and conditional 2015 draft pick but then Raiders released Matt Flynn in six months then in that same year he signed a deal with Buffalo Bills and then they released him less than a month (sounds like Tim Tebow doesn’t it?) But just few days later in the same following month which was November the Packers and NFL top starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers got injured and so did Seneca Wallace who was backup quarterback for Aaron Rodgers in the same place that Matt Flynn once was in and the only next quarterback they have is Scott Tolzien as Packers 3rd string quarterback that wasn’t injured and they started Scott Tolzien but the problem was is that Scott Tolzien couldn’t play too well and caused a loss game for Packers and the Packers organization couldn’t afford to lose more games because they were nearing into playoff and here comes Matt Flynn to save the day and Packers and took them into playoff.
Matt Flynn tied the game with Vikings and then won two games and got them into the playoff and Aaron Rodgers recovered from fractured collarbone and played starting quarterback against Chicago Bears and won the game then into the playoff against San Francisco and sadly lost the game by only 3 points. If Packers hadn’t let go Matt Flynn in ’12 I am sure that Packers would win more games than Scott Tolzien did and that is obvious, nonetheless this year Matt Flynn becomes free agent and every Packers fans hopes that Ted Thompson don’t repeat the mistake by letting Matt Flynn walk again like they did in 2012 and Packers hadn’t made any news about resigning Matt Flynn lately because this early in the draft and they were waiting to see if they would get anyone better like all other teams do and as well seeing how much their free agents are actually worth because the longer they wait usually they able to sign their free agents for cheaper but back to the subject today finally Packers announced that they resigned Matt Flynn as a backup quarterback again for Packers! So we are going to have Matt Flynn longer with Packers thankfully and this is the best choice they made by not repeating the mistake by letting him walk like they did last time and beside Giants was showing interest in Matt Flynn and have a visit scheduled for Matt Flynn to visit Giants to discuss and ever since Packers resigned Matt Flynn he immediately cancelled the scheduled visit with Giants considering that Matt Flynn has once said that he would like to play for Packers as long as he possibly could and retire from Packers when the time comes but at this time he is way young to retire so hopefully that Packers will keep him long enough.
Matt Flynn is one of very few quarterbacks that actually played his heart out because several quarterbacks like their earnings for being the quarterback or a player for their team and Matt Flynn isn’t one of them because Matt Flynn wants to play for the team and playing for Packers is his passion and not earning money. I am sure that Packers resigned him for a good amount of money but remember when Packers had resigned him back to Packers due to Aaron Rodgers and Seneca Wallace injuries, the price wasn’t decent and he doesn’t mind about that and agreed to a contract only because he said he wants to be back with Packers and play with his teammates. If you want to see some plays that Matt Flynn made go to YouTube and search for his plays then from there you can see how much he plays his heart out and how well he is as a backup quarterback. Ever since they resigned Matt Flynn only one thing that bothers me is that they wants or try to keep Scott Tolzien and have a lot of vouch for Scott Tolzien by saying that he’s a great quarterback and so forth, honestly I really don’t see what is so good about Scott Tolzien after watching him making ALL horrible plays and couldn’t even bring any wins for the team the entire time that he’s been with Packers. Personally in my opinion I think that Packers should boot Scott Tolzien and as well Secena Wallace then draft a potential backup quarterback that has more accuracy in the arms and know how to plays like Aaron Rodgers and Matt Flynn unlike Scott Tolzien and Secena Wallace. It’s don’t make sense why they are trying their very best to keep Scott Tolzien as long as they can because he’s not all what they said he is at all and even if training him for few years isn’t going to make him any better than he is now and eventually he won’t be a starting quarterback because when Aaron Rodgers retires, Matt Flynn would be in the next line considering that he has most experience in quarterbacking for Packers than Scott Tolzien ever will unless they can draft someone like Aaron Rodgers, Matt Flynn or Brett Favre.
Happy day for me to hear that Matt Flynn is resigned after bringing him back in last year due to Packers quarterback and backup quarterback injuries and not repeating the mistake by letting Matt Flynn walk because Matt Flynn do have a lot of potential and can be a good starter at quarterback when Aaron Rodgers retire because if you remember who trained Aaron Rodgers to be at the best he is today, that’s right Brett Favre and look at how well Aaron Rodgers now because when Aaron Rodgers was Brett Favre backup quarterback he has skills like Matt Flynn when Aaron Rodgers got drafted by Packers and trained by Brett Favre for few years before Brett Favre supposedly retired from Packers and they gave Aaron Rodgers the starting job and got us a Superbowl just in few years and that’s even fewer years than Brett Favre when he started at quarterback!
