Hey you all! This is Joshie writing here, there is nothing more than me wanting to tell you a very Merry Christmas and so Merry Christmas to you all! ‘Tis the season that every one of us cherish with our family and friends which is the most important thing about Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! Christmas isn’t the only thing that we celebrate with our family and friends, we also celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ! Nothing is more fun than the Christmas tradition that we carry through many generations of ours, opening Christmas presents and have vast amounts of foods for us to pick to put on our plates until our stomach cannot take them anymore! I can remember how excited I would get when the Christmas day arrives at age of a child, looking forward to celebrating Christmas with the family and open the presents besides the Christmas tree that we decorated while being surrounded my family. It was one of these moments that I treasure more than ever, as every Christmas I would visit my grandmother’s house on my mother’s side and seeing the grounds that was nothing but tons of snow. Spending several hours from early afternoon until it was dark out, spending my time with my grandparents, my mother, my aunt and my uncles with my grandmother’s poodle’s dog named Midnight. First thing we would start the day with a chat, after that we would fill our plates with foods which usually were Turkey and the other Thanksgiving foods but that time with some eggnog! After eating, some of us would sit back watching some television while having a chat with others, some of us would be passed out (I was among one of some who usually passed out) and wait for our stomach to settled down from being so full due to eating so much of foods on Christmas day then we would start unwrapping the presents that we gifted each other. After unwrapping the presents, we had so much joy and happiness as the sunset approaching me and my mother would depart ourselves from my grandmother’s home to our home. When we arrived at home that night, our friends would either visit, phone us and chat with me through online when we had a dial-up internet with a very old windows 98 computer.
As the midnight came, my mother would be getting ready for bed and I would be the one who stayed up with an ex-girlfriend of mine as she used to live next door along with her sister. For the rest of the night, we would enjoy the presents that I had gotten for Christmas from my family and I used to get a new game for my Nintendo N64, so we played these new games I had got all night! It was such fun, it is memories that I forever cherish and there is nothing that I would ever change.
Merry Christmas 2017!
Through my childhood, on Christmas, it meant a lot to me because I spent my time with my family and others. Often, I would wish that somebody would have already invented a time machine so that I could go back to the 90s more often so that me and my mother could spend as often as we can with our family. Now, we no longer have them here with us on earth as they went home to the heaven to celebrate the Christmas with the Lord and even though they no longer may be here with us their spirit always will be with us. I am more than lucky to this day, as I still have my mother that I get to celebrate the Christmas and New Year eve with for many years to come I pray. We both still carry the same Christmas tradition that my grandparents started back in a small community city calls Williamson in the state of West Virginia, their roots are still there, and it is filled with full of joyful memories that we created there in that two-small story house. Christmas were my favorite holiday of all holidays and to this day Christmas are still my favorite holiday out of all other holidays! The Christmas tradition that was started by my grandparents are still the same Christmas tradition that we carry to this day on Christmas in the year of 2017 – only difference is that it is with me and my mother now.
For those of you who are young, a teenager or older that still have most of your family to this day on Christmas day; treasure it as much as you can! I am thirty years old (30), about to be thirty-one years old (31) in three months (3) and I have lost more than ¾ of my family that I celebrated Christmas every year with. I wish that I still celebrate with them, to still have long ways to treasure some more Christmas with and still to create many more memories but it is not meant to be as they have left us way too early but again I am the most thankful for to still have my mom to this day! What I am trying to say is that, please cherish these memories that you create with your family as much as you can while you still have them here and be sure to let them know how much they mean to you. My mom means a whole world to me, there are no one else that I want to celebrate my Christmas more than my mom and to continue creating these new precious memories for both of us for many years to come. Mom, if you happens to read this blog post I want you to know that I love you more than anything in the world and from the bottom of my heart I thank you so much for everything that you have done for me which I know cannot be easy most of the times but I am very thankful for that! Merry Christmas, mom!
I wish every one of you Merry Christmas, please be safe when you are out on roads to visit your family and friends for the most important holiday of all-time; Christmas. Christmas is the holiday where we try to bring as much joy we can to our family and our friends because who doesn’t want to see a smile on their face? If you are spending the Christmas in these areas that snows I envy you! Over here, we never really had a white Christmas since the late 90s when we had blizzard over here in east part of Kentucky and southwest part of West Virginia. We only get the snow a couple of weeks after Christmas most of the times. Anyway, once again I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and please drive safely.
Be sure to leave a comment below and let me know what you got for Christmas! I may will share a list what I got for Christmas after I unwrap the presents that I have gotten!
