Thought?:

We stayed in the presidential suite, in the suite it screams unclean & improper as it’s hardly cared for. Hardly anything in-suite is functional, flooring utility plugs aren’t installed as it’s there for the looks. So if you see the utility plugs on the floor, don’t bother to plug in anything because it is not installed at all as you can pick it up. Got jacuzzi tub that is not functional at all, also is not clean at all, in fact, both in the living room and in the bathroom the jacuzzi is not functional at all. It is advertised that they have free WiFi, my answer to that is where WiFi? Barely any WiFi, if WiFi is needed then would have to use other hotels WiFi which barely enough to get me online for anything. The hotel’s elevator is surprisingly functional but the numbers inside elevator that lets you know what floors you are at is wrong, you would be on floor four when the elevator says you’re on 7th floor and I have in fact stayed there three times because for some reason they kept saying that there has been huge change in improvement but it seems that whatever their improvement is is worsening. Floors are barely cleaned, the ceiling has shown some stains along with some possible of molds, the lights are hardly functional, the tubs along with the toilet are hardly cleaned as the tubs have shown several chipped places.

Only functional I can found is their television sadly, only acceptable or what I like the most out of Mountain Vista Inn & Suites is that the hotel is in the heart of Pigeon Forge as it’s in very great spot in middle of several businesses along with some attractions, restaurants and other fun places to go. The hotel is also sitting right on the spot where the guests can be picked up by trolleys in front of the hotel which that’s the only advantage the hotel itself has which that’s what I like. Please keep in mind if they constantly tell you that they’ve gone under management changes, or huge improvements, maintenance or whatever else they could possibly think of excuses to keep their returning customers – Don’t! However, I can safely say that they do actually have a couple of nice rooms with 2 beds or a single bed that’s good for only 2 people but only if you are very lucky. The first time was the same presidential suite, the second time was the 2 beds regular room which is somewhat acceptable as I’d give it 3 out of 5, then this time was my 3rd which is back again in the same presidential suite that I rented from my first time. I’ve looked at several rooms they have with my own eyes, I can only say that they do have two or three acceptable rooms, but that’s 3-4 rooms out of all rooms they have so you could have one of 3-4 acceptable rooms only if you’re very lucky.

Would I recommend it? No, I wouldn’t. BUT! It does give you what you pay for, as they are somewhat cheap. As a saying goes: you get what you pay for and that is true with them. I wouldn’t say absolutely no for a recommendation, I simply say “no” loosely. If you are just in Pigeon Forge and don’t care about the looks or whatnot then I’d say go for it but if you are looking for a room for some romantic reason, family vacation or whatnot then skip them!

Pros

  • Air conditioners.
  • It has a functional indoor swimming pool.
  • Trolley stop right in front of the hotel.
  • Presidential Room is spacious.
  • In the heart of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
  • Offer a quick breakfast (most of the times pancakes or cereals).
  • Wheelchair Accessible.

Cons

  • Use The Neighbor’s Hotel Wi-Fi instead of the hotel itself.
  • No jacuzzi working.
  • Some utility plugs are not functional, just decorated to fill the holes.
  • Bugs often found on the floor against a wall beside the hotel’s room doors.
  • Barely basic television channels.
  • Unfunctional outdoor swimming pool.
  • Unclean but doable if you are willing to ignore the ceiling and floor stains.
  • The elevator is weird but functional, although I caution the levels are inaccurate.
  • Some dirt beds, some acceptable beds.
