Old gaming consoles, miss them?!

Old Gaming ConsolesHey folks, first of all of course the opening article I always must say how all of you are doing lately?! I hope that all of you are doing wonderful especially that it is in spring or the summer is nearing which I am sure that most of you are excited and looking forward to the summer. There is something that maybe most of you don’t know besides my mother, I am not looking forward to summer at all because I am no big fan of summer and I am more fan of fall, winter or even spring depending on the degrees outside. The reason behind my disliking the summer is I don’t like to be dripping sweat off my body at all, I guess I am one of the few people who cannot stand the sweats although I do like the activities in summer as long as I am cooled off such as riding four-wheeler and riding four-wheeler keeps me cool off due to winds. I used to love go fishing but for some reason I no longer do because of the heat only because of the sweats but I can stand the heat itself, just not the sweats themselves though and even I am not a fan of the summer I am still looking forward to it because of riding four-wheeler.

Alright I better get to the subject of the title in this article, old gaming consoles and you know what I am talking about! If you don’t know what I am talking about then obviously your childhood wasn’t awesome like some of ours were because in my time I remember the local store introducing the console such as Nintendo NES to the shelf that drive us the children wild and then we went over our parents begging for some money so to buy ourselves the Nintendo NES gaming console.

Now many decades later we didn’t realize how iconic the old gaming consoles such as Nintendo NES or Super Nintendo SNES became and that made some of us wishing that we didn’t either throw away them or sold them to somebody else when we become older especially after the newer console comes out such as Dreamcast or Playstation because we would want to keep up with the new technology and better quality in pictures. Then a couple of decades later we realize that it was bad choice to do so wishing that we didn’t let go our old gaming consoles like Nintendo NES or Super Nintendo SNES but it was too late and thinking that we would look up for some old gaming consoles through Ebay or Amazon but only to find out that they costs even more than they originally were. The games for old gaming consoles like Nintendo NES or Super Nintendo SNES is even higher than themselves, especially the gold ones such as Zelda and few of others that we used to love playing. Even some of the games for Nintendo N64 or Playstation one is more expensive than ever such as Final Fantasy 7 which that was my all-time favorite game and still is my all-time favorite game for Playstation.

With the old gaming consoles keeps rising in prices, even more expensive for the games for these old gaming consoles and they are becoming somewhat more harder to find although they can be found for sale only if you look in the right place. Now do you miss having to blowing our lungs out through the old gaming consoles or banging the old gaming consoles trying to get games to work for these old gaming consoles? I know I do and then I found the solution which I will be more than happy to give you the solution of missing the gaming consoles. Thanks to the internet, there are several old gaming consoles such as Nintendo NES, Super Nintendo SNES, Sony Playstation, Dreamcast and few more that we can download calls emulators to our desktop or laptop where we can play our favorite games or the games that we misses. Even there are one or two emulators that can be downloaded to your smartphone such as Iphone or android phones but for the smartphones you will have to find them yourself which can be found searching through the search engine such as Google. When you learn that there are old gaming consoles emulators software for your desktop or laptop, please do not rush to the search engine to find it and then immediately download it because not every emulators works or some emulators are too advanced for you to understand especially having to download few of settings for the emulator itself such as graphic, video and others.

I am going to be giving you the direct links to the emulators that I very much trust and know that works especially the ones that I use. Also I will help you with downloading the games for old gaming consoles such as Nintendo NES or Super Nintendo SNES. The game for old gaming consoles emulators are called roms especially for older gaming consoles such as Nintendo NES, Super Nintendo SNES, Nintendo N64 but for Playstation they are called ISO which can be a bit of challenging. Here are some of the links that will take you directly to the emulators where you will download to your desktop or laptop but be sure that you have enough hard drive space, you have Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows 8 or 8.1.

Nintendo NES: http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/nes/fceux.html
Super Nintendo SNES: http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/snes/zsnes.html
Nintendo 64: http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/n64/project64.html

When you choose which old gaming consoles you’d like to download, or you can just download all three of the old gaming consoles emulators as there are no difference in downloading the other old gaming consoles emulators. On the Nintendo NES emulator download page, be sure to scroll to the bottom of the page where you will see FCEUX 2.2.2 blue text which is a link so click that then be sure to save the download to the place that you can remember such as in your documents or desktop because wherever you download the software to is where you will have to find it to be able to play the emulator. When you finished downloading the file, go to wherever you saved the file to then from there you will have to unzip the folder which your computer should already have unzipping software but right-click on the file named “FCEUX 2.2.2” with your mouse then click the “extract all” from there you will see a program calls “fceux 2.2.2” and that is your Nintendo NES emulator. Now next you will have to find the games rom for the Nintendo NES emulator, I recommend freeroms.com for all games roms to download for the old gaming consoles emulators. You go to this link here then you will see the A to Z for the title of the games you like but let’s go for “S”, look for Super Mario Bros (USA/JAPAN) and from there you’ll see “direct download will appear in 00 seconds” so wait until the countdown have reached then you click the “direct download” link. Be sure to save the file to the place you remember, I recommend creating a folder in your documents calling “Games Roms” then create another folder calling it “NES Roms” and save the Super Mario Bros (USA/JAPAN) file in there. When it is finished downloading, from there you will have to extract the folder (same way you extracted the folder for emulator I instructed earlier) then you go to the Nintendo NES emulator program (fceux 2.2.2) and double-click it to open the Nintendo NES emulator. When you have the Nintendo NES emulator up, you will see “file” menu at the top of Nintendo NES emulator FCEUX 2.2.2 then go to “Open ROM” and find the Super Mario Bros (USA/JAPAN) rom folder that you have just downloaded and extracted then go inside the folder then there you will see a file like “Super Mario Bros. (JU) [!].nes” or such you double-click that file. There you go, from there you should have the game starting for you to play the classic Super Mario Bros on Nintendo NES emulators! The buttons on your keyboard to play the game is A, S, D, F, enter button and the arrows buttons.

The rest of old gaming consoles emulators is same as downloading the Nintendo NES emulator and the games roms for the other old gaming consoles emulators is same way you did for the Nintendo NES. But if you want the Nintendo 64 one, there are two programs to download on that website link I gave you such as “Project64_1.6” and “Project64K_core1.4_v0.13”. I suggest to download the “Project64_1.6” one as it is less complication and is easy like getting the Nintendo NES emulator one.

That is it for now, the next article I write will be related to this article where I will help you with streaming live using Twitch so that you can show off playing the old gaming consoles games while making money although you would meet the requirements to be doing which I will write about in the next article because I have to wrap this up as it is getting a bit late.
