Story of My Love for Drums by Uncle

There are some of you know this but there are many of you don’t know this. I will share one story about myself, along with some inspirations, so that should be interesting for you to read. 😛 Many years ago, I was just a kid who have many wild ideas ranging from wanting to be wrestlers to be a police officer. Every day I would visit my grandparent’s house over in Williamson, where the heart of the family was before they left this earth but nonetheless, when I visited I would often be sitting on the main couch as they had two couches and only one couch that sits in front of television. The other couch is used as a bed. Like I said, the heart of the family meaning my entire family on my mother’s side so my uncle, my grandparents, my aunt and my mother with a puppy named Midnight. I admit I watched my uncle very close, I always looked him up regardless that he was an alcoholic and often when I am around he was more of cheer-y person. I remember that I wanted to be the Ultimate Warrior, no, I wanted to be Hulk Hogan, never mind that, I wanted to be The Rock and then I dreamed up of wanting to be a police…

Take A Knee During the National Anthem in Sports

Lately we have seen a lot of the players in sports, especially the National Football League (NFL) and National Basketball Association decided to take a knee or locking arms with others. They were shown on television and as well in the media, there are two divided groups who support the decision of the players to take a knee or to lock arms and who are against the decision of the players taking a knee or lock arms with others. Players, coaches and even owners would decide either to take a knee or to lock arms with others while the National Anthem plays or sings by certain singers which they traditionally do so before the game starts. From the beginning, it was Colin Kaepernick as a quarterback at San Francisco 49ers last year where he decided to sit on the bench during the National Anthem in protest, as the media immediately noticed that and the next game Colin Kaepernick decided to take a knee instead of sitting on the bench like he did in the beginning but this time a few of his teammates joined the protest by taking a knee with Colin Kaepernick. This was last year, that protest were criticized heavily by some of the people and since then Colin Kaepernick have taken a knee during the National Anthem…

Victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas

My thoughts are with you all, I know I have wished you all well on social media several days ago but I feel that I want to maximize my areas in reaching out to the people especially who are victims by one of the worst hurricane named Harvey by writing this article for both of my blog on here and over at JoshuaBSullivan.com. I have some people who reads my message on social media such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Tumblr, Google plus and others but my blog has the most readers than these so this is the reason I feel the need to do this so to make sure that my wish and my thoughts are received by everyone that I have. Alexander Graham Bell: Public Enemy of the Deaf

Some of you may not know this especially if you aren’t associated with the Deaf community and if you are indeed associated with the Deaf community or you are Deaf/Hard of Hearing yourself then there is a good possibility that you know this. If you aren’t associated with the Deaf/Hard of Hearing community or you are one of them then you already have a question in your mind wondering what or who am I referring to the public enemy of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing community but if you are associated with the community or you are one among of us as I am Deaf myself then you should by now already know that I am referring to Alexander Graham Bell being the public enemy of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing community. Now that I have mentioned that the name is Alexander Graham Bell, those who aren’t associated with or is Deaf/Hard of Hearing immediately recalls that Alexander Graham Bell is known for being a pioneer or an inventor as he invented landline telephone and some of you already know that he has been suspected of stealing the blueprint from Elisha Gray who came up with the mechanics in blueprint to build the first landline telephone that everybody today uses at home using dial-up connection. That wasn’t the only thing that Alexander…

How are you all today or tonight?! I hope that all of you are doing well and I am doing well myself. I know it’s shocking that I decided to write another post for the blog in this short of time since I last wrote an article as lately I haven’t been that much of active in blogging world. I have tried to push myself back to where I can at least write two articles per week, but I can’t promise that I will because I don’t want to promise something that I might end up breaking and I don’t like breaking any promises if there were a promise made by me to somebody. Anyway, here I am with another snippet for you all to read and I probably will only do a short one tonight because I am not exactly in the mood to write an article for the blog. Really, I haven’t been in mood for anything lately and not only that I haven’t been feeling well myself for a week now. Summer is running out; this year is probably the shortest and quickest summer I have ever felt or seen because all the students and employees going back to school on August 7th which is in one week from now. But again, as I have said before,…

Opinion on Anne E. Geers’s Research

Okay, where do I start here? Please note that this is my opinion and over 70 million people in the Deaf community are welcome to share their opinion on this subject as well. I strongly believe that the research done by Anne E. Geers may be biased or improperly researched. In her article, it stated that she studied a different three groups where one of them would have newborn to learn sign language early on, one with cochlear implantation while learning spoken language such as English and one with cochlear implantation learning sign language. In her research, she stated that the group where the newborn who had cochlear implanted and learnt spoken language could speak more clear and better reading than the other two groups. I must ask, did Anna E. Geers herself handpicked the sign language teacher to teach the child sign language? And what exactly did she mean “sign language”? Doesn’t she realize that all other sign language modes besides American Sign Language has proved to be fail and that American Sign Language has proved to be successful for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing child? Another question, wasn’t she aware of bilingual-bicultural education? The fact that American Sign Language is a visual language, a recognized language at that and it is vital that the Deaf children to…

So here I am, blogging again for once in a long while since I haven’t written an article for a few weeks and I have been preoccupied lately to a point that I could rarely find any time to do something that I enjoy doing. As you know, we are now in summer which is usually that time a lot of people would be off to somewhere on vacations and this is one of few reasons that a lot of bloggers aren’t as active as they usually be in fall, winter, and spring seasons. Every website has statistics that the owners of the website(s) can check, almost every website receives the lowest traffic during in the summer and the most traffic that all websites get is usually in winter. Because in summer, a lot of people is out on vacations and the lowest usage of the internet is in the summer as well, because not many of people is at their home using the internet and even that a lot of us have smartphone or tablets with internet; the statistics still shows that the lowest internet usage is in the summer. It is interesting and it is good thing because it shows that some people can at least lives outside of the internet. Anyway, usually in every article I would…
