5-30-2017 Quick Tidbits

How did the memorial weekend and day go for you all? I hope that you all had fun over the weekend, today and that all of us are safe considering that memorial weekends are known for an event when a lot of the people would party too much that involves alcohol. Driving while drunk is one of the most stupid thing ever in my opinion, so I hope that if all of you didn’t do that and calls a cab or have somebody as your designated driver to take you home safely. As for me, I never celebrate Memorial Day because I don’t like the idea of celebrating in memory of somebody or something that had happened in the past and it can make me sad. I look at it as negative, I mean how can you bring yourself to party and involves alcohol to celebrate for Memorial Day when it is really in memory of the bad things that had happened to the human beings whether it be family, friends, or strangers? Anyway, I know I haven’t blogged in several weeks and I apologize for that. Not to long ago I wrote an article stating that I was pretty much getting burnt out with blogging and that I am to reduce my activity in blog for the time being…

Happy Mother’s Day 2017

I would like to personally wish the most important person on this earth, my mother a very happy mother’s day and that I am very thankful for everything she has done for me past these thirty years since she has become a mother to an only child which is myself – a child that thinks the world of her and looks up to her since this child opened his eyes for the first time after birth.

My mom has never stops her persistence in taking care of me for over thirty years and two months to make sure that I have everything that I need especially the essentials. Such as the roof over me, air conditioning and heating to keep myself cool or warm during both summer and winter; clothes on my back and foods on the table for me to eat everyday. Taking me to my doctor appointments to make sure that I am taken care of, this includes having to take me to Cincinnati to a children hospital every 2-3 years until I become a teenager, never leaving the hospital every time that I had to be admitted such as when I had undergone one of the most major surgery I have had ever went through, my back from my neck to my tailbone and when I broke my femur in half in my right leg my mother drove me to the hospital herself because she wouldn’t want to waste another minute for the ambulance. I have never truly see any mothers that takes as this tremendous care and responsibility without any hesitation for a child as my mother do for me.

Inactivity and The Future

How are you all guys and women doing?! I know I haven’t written a blog since over a bit month ago, as last time I wrote an article were on the first of last month in April and lately I have started getting more silent on social media as well. This is why I have decided that I should blog, so that I let you all know that I am doing just fine and that I would also like to apologize for my inactivity for the past of a month which is a bit unusual I know especially that some of you know that I never could stand to not blog at least more than one week or two weeks at most. There are a few reasons that I have not wrote an article for past a month, which a few I will share and the other few that I prefer to not. Unfortunately, over the past month I nearly lost interests in blogging and I know that is a bit unlike of me to say that especially that I have kept doing so ever since the year of 2007. In August will marks tenth years since I have started a blog with JoshiesWorld which is my first blog in public and it will not be my last because I…

4-1-2017 Tidbits

It seems that the time has flown on, yesterday it seems as if it is still in the late winter like in February and now it is the first day of the April! I cannot believe how fast the new year 2017 is going already, maybe it is mainly because I have been very busy that I barely pay attention to the calendar and it passed by me. I remember last year in summer that the year of 2016 were going too fast, that we were already nearing Christmas and I said that I felt everything somehow rushed so now it is 2017 I am saying the same thing except that we are getting closer to summer in a hurry. I am sure by now that through several articles I have written last year especially around in the fall that I was looking forward to the winter because I am a winter person, I am a biggest fan of the winter because I never can stand the heat temperature that summer throws at me in the summer and I am not one of these many people who says that they cannot wait for the summer then they cannot wait for the winter. Not making up its mind, I always sticks with that I cannot wait for the winter for several…

Deaf Cultural Genocide

I am way behind on the hot topic and news on the Deaf community in general, mainly because I have been very busy lately and I could never find the time to write an article anywhere including my blog here but at least I will share my thought about this topic “Deaf Cultural Genocide” that was going around a few weeks ago. That would be better than not sharing any thoughts of mine on that topic so here I am to give a piece of my thought on the topic that was trending in the Deaf community, several weeks ago an associate professor at Gallaudet University wrote an article stating that if anyone who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing decides to participate in the medical or science research that supposedly cure deafness by receiving genetic therapy that they would allow a form of cultural genocide and it would be unethical of them to do so. There are medical research labs or sciences especially that specialize in stem cells, compete to come up with a proven cure to eliminate the deafness either at birth or at some minimum to maximum ages for anyone who want to have the ability to hear and or that the child who was discovered Deaf after the birth to have the ability to hear at…

Turning 30, Happy 30th Birthday!

Happy 30th birthday to, can you guess whose birthday today? Moi! I have just turned thirty (30) years old, it feels like I am eighty years old or somewhere around that age and becoming thirty years old is a milestone which some calls it real adulthood. Some people sees eighteen or twenty-one years old is the age that they enter the adulthood, which it may be true that becoming twenty-one years old is becoming an adult but truly an adulthood? I don’t see that way as I went through it obviously, I never felt or really recognized as a fully adult when I turned twenty-one years old as a lot of people have told me that I am young and some children thinks that becoming eighteen is to be an adult – not true. What really happens when turns eighteen is that you are given some privileges, being able to buy some tobaccos and to be able to make your own choice for what you want to do with your life. But becoming adult? No, at least not here in the United States because you won’t get full freedoms and full controls of your life especially from your parents which I have learned that the hard way after finding out that my so-called father went behind my back to file…

Deaf… And Hard of Hearing

The other day a well-known Deaf woman worldwide names Ella Mae Lentz made a vlog about why do some of the people, as she says especially the leaders of the Deaf community often would use the labels such as Deaf and Hard of Hearing altogether instead of just only using Deaf as a label instead of “Deaf and Hard of Hearing”. Before I get into it, Ella Mae Lentz is known to be one of most vocal activist and she has a solid reputation for advocating the best education for all the Deaf children here in the United States of America. Nobody and nothing will ever take that away from her, she has done a lot of things for the Deaf community in that area and, she is known to be one of vocal when it comes to American Sign Language too along with Bilingual-Bicultural education for the Deaf children. There is several more that can to be added to the list for what she has done, what she does for the Deaf community especially for the Deaf children and so forth – nonetheless, she is a role model to a lot of the Deaf people. As I said earlier, she decided to make a vlog in American Sign Language as she always has done so for several years, about…

Not M.I.A. And Passion in Blogging

I know I haven’t made a blog post anywhere for about two weeks now, I barely have any time to do so and I have dealt with some of the things outside the internet which I prefer to not share what it is. I have struggled to find some time to write a blog post, I realize that trying to write a blog post on schedule is an issue for me and it is stressing so after having some thought today about what I should do about that. I have utmost passion in blogging, I became blogger in the year of 2004 to be exact although I did blog back in 1999 I believe on a free websites service which I cannot remember the name of the service but I think it was web.com or similar name as that when I gave blogging a try and wrote the first blog post to share my feelings for that girl I was with at that time which is a bit corny now that I looks back to that day but I only wrote one blog post then forget about it until the year of 2004 I invested more of my time into it and become a guest blogger from there. Fast-forward to the year of 2007 when I acquired JoshiesWorld.com, setting it…
