For about almost a month by now, I have hired a professional designer to do a logo for JoshiesWorld because since I did a redesign for the new look of JoshiesWorld, moved JoshiesWorld from an old run down the mill hosting company to one of the fastest and largest companies that do servers for the websites. Didn’t stop there, I also had done a bunch of upgrading backends such as optimizing to make sure that JoshiesWorld.com would load quickly as possible on both desktop and mobile versions. I have done a lot for JoshiesWorld.com since the new year, as one of the goals for my 2019 resolutions is that I take JoshiesWorld to the next level and believe it I am going to but in order to do so I have to do something major which was the redesign but as you see it’s done but I had this nagging feeling that even with the new look in design of the website there is something still amiss. As lately, I have been paying a large number of dollars making a drastic improvement by a complete redesign back in January, a move from an small unknown hosting provider to a large server company at the end of February and then paid even for more speed and bandwidth to make it goes from average 2-3 seconds loading speed to 200-800ms. That’s not all, I also had to pay a bunch of backend tools such as a drastic security improvement for all of the websites including JoshiesWorld.com and then paid all the essentials to make sure that all the websites to runs smoothly without any loss. This is the most drastic improvement that I have done for JoshiesWorld.com but some for the rest of others such as JoshuaBSullivan.com and AppalachianCrawlers.com but my priority were all JoshiesWorld.com. Just last week I have hired a professional designer to rework my logo, which is in progress of revisions and waiting for my approval so it should be ready within’ a week if all is well. Among many of us bloggers, journalists and even websites owner have struggling to make a decision whether if it would be that necessary to move from a common connection which is still secured but not exactly that much of a secure though as it depends on some of the servers that host some websites. Some news writer, bloggers, journalists, and website owners decided that even though their websites are secured enough so they ignore the need of improving its security of the website’s connection using a website address which connects you both to the side ends. There are only a few people, more so students at that time have witnessed this including my best friend Robert Wolfe and among few of others that were close to us know about what had happened in the lunch room in 2005 at Belfry High School. One day in early afternoon at Belfry High School, I was a senior student, one of two Deaf students who attended a public school but before that during my freshman year and sophomore year I was the only Deaf student that attended Belfry High School then when I go back to school after summer a Deaf girl named Cameo were transferred to Belfry High School as a sophomore from Ohio while I became a junior. I have been doing research through many different sources about advancing technology in the United States, a pattern that I am seeing is that they are talking about getting ahead in production in manufacturing companies and others more than ever compared to humans. That technology I am referring is, something that I am sure some may just rolls their eyes or some may scoff over this but the difference is that a few years ago it may be something that is the least of our worries when it comes to finding a job in today’s economy but I don’t think that many of us realize that they are advancing faster than we expected them to be. Made me realize something, the corporations and business are doing everything that they can do is to maximize their profits. They have set their crosshair right on the profits, everything else does not matter to them and they will do everything they can to maximize their profits even if it means cutting the costs or fire their employees as they found the tiniest mistake made by an employee because they don’t just pay their employees a wage but also pay for their health insurance, parental leaves, workers compensation, retirement and others which they don’t like doing because they want that money. I am sure that some of you have heard of these words somewhere, whether it be auto-correction, on social media, in the news, in another country that doesn’t have much knowledge about the community as we do over here in the United States and as well some countries in Europe. By now if you haven’t realized what I am referring to by looking at the headline of this article then the words I am referring to is Deaf and Dumb or even Deaf and Mute. There was someone, who is Deaf found a words replacement suggestion in Nintendo’s store saying “Deaf and Dumb” and decided to share that on Reddit which I will provide a link to that Reddit at the end but he had shared his frustration or that he was surprised about the words replacement suggestion in Nintendo for “Deaf and Dumb” instead of Deaf in a Facebook group titled ASL That!. As you all know, my skin is white so obviously I am white and I do acknowledge that I have that privilege whether I want it or not as it’s a given based on my ethnicity so the only as far I can do is to say that I do also recognize that the United States and many of other countries have a huge problem with racism even to this day. The black people suffers oppression everyday by the very same color that I have on my skin which is something that I am very ashamed of, even though I do everything I can do to support black people through activism and to pass their voices on around in hope that I can or at least hope that we can bring more awareness of what is going on in this world on racism issues.
