We know that everybody loves to take a lot of pictures for some reasons, whether it be for their memories, family photographs, friends photographs, vacation/trip photographs, landscape photographs and there are several different kinds of photographs that everybody like taking. I mean who doesn’t like taking some pictures? Well I know there are some of the people who don’t like taking some pictures or especially being in some of the pictures that is taken by somebody else which I am one of them who doesn’t like to be taken in some pictures although I don’t mind them as long as I know what they are for such as memories or something but I dislike having my pictures being taken for the public display or some sort. Even that I don’t like being in some of the pictures doesn’t means that I don’t like taking some of the photographs because I am a photographer on the side and my kind of photographs would be boudoirs especially with women because I consider them as art although some of the people who doesn’t understand or know what is photography would be against the boudoirs as they think that they have no respect for themselves or that they are naughty because most of the boudoirs are nudity but what they don’t realize is that many industries, magazines or professional photographers considered them arts and that showing their nature skin in the photographs is to let everyone know that they are proud of the way they are but in my opinion that it’s a beautiful creature although some of the people probably isn’t going to understand mine or many of others views when it comes to taking these kind of photographs for our clients.
Now to a different subject, many of people loves taking some of the pictures using their preferred devices which is a bit of problem because ever since the cell phone started coming out with cameras that allows anyone to take some of the pictures with them instead of using the cameras which they are meant for taking some of the pictures. Sure the smartphones with cameras are also meant to take some of the pictures but they do not have the quality or the right tools to take a good pictures like the cameras such as DSLR which is a whole different camera than the phone’s camera. The way I see it that the phone with cameras are meant to take a quick pictures or some sort but the phone with camera aren’t meant for taking some of the pictures and then framing them or some sort, regardless what DSLR or cell phone with camera are meant for, it is killing photographers.
Photographers, you think you are?
Ever since the technology has been skyrocketed with bigger cameras for today’s smartphones are slowly killing the dreams of photographers. Some of the people think that taking some of the pictures using the camera on the smartphone means that they are photographers or worse yet calling themselves the professional photographers. Taking photographs using with your phone’s camera doesn’t makes you a photographer, if you are wanting to be a photographer who creates beautiful photographs to call it the arts then buy the right equipment to do so which that would be DSLR, Lens, Tripod, Speedlight and among other gears. I know DSLR are expensive because I owns them but they gives the photographs of same quality that you would see from your own eyes which that is what makes it worth the money .
Ever since the smartphones cameras started improving in a big way, it is causing a huge problem for the photographers because it is causing them to lose their dream jobs of becoming professional photographers for some magazines or for some agencies but how is it killing their jobs? Many of magazines, newspaper or anywhere that have to have some of the photographs are starting to lay off several professional photographers and says that they are starting to take some of the pictures themselves using the cameras from their phones because it is cheaper that way. True it is cheaper to take the pictures using their phones with camera than hiring professional photographers to take some of the pictures but it’s also show that they don’t care about the quality which often appreciated several subscribers or customers.
So thanks to the phones cameras, they are making it very difficult for us photographers to get a job so that we can make income or extra income to able to afford the foods on the table for our families or a roof for our families to live under and some clothes for them to wear that they are comfortable with. Shooting some of the pictures from the cell phone and then call themselves photographers is kind of insulting to photographers who actually spend thousands of dollars so that we can offer our clients or anybody the quality of pictures that we took to capture their moments so that in many years later they can remember these moments while being able to see the same quality in the pictures as their eyes are, as if they were there in reality again. I believe that it is often that we paid more money out of our own pockets for these gears (3-4k DSLR camera, 1k-2k lens, 500-1k tripod, 400-1k cameras bag, 400-800 speedlight and others) than we were paid for taking pictures for them and still not being able to cover the money we spent on these gears out of our pockets and we don’t care about spending more money out of our pockets than not getting much paid to get the money back because we WANT to give our clients/customers the best quality of pictures that they can hold that is dear to their heart which is only matters to most of us because when we see the smile of their faces then it’s worth much more than what we spent on our gears.
Somewhat I don’t think the photographers are getting much credits that they deserve, photographers is almost unheard which I think its unfair and I believe that it is time for the people to recognize them or give them the credit they deserve. I have absolutely nothing against with anybody taking pictures with their cell phone of course, but what I don’t like is that the way they are hurting photographers jobs or their dreams to be well-known photographers because the more they are known then that means the more clients will trusts them to take pictures of them especially when it comes to doing boudoirs or similar. I love taking pictures with my Iphone 5S when it comes to taking pictures of something to keep but when it comes to taking pictures of something that I want to hold that is dear to my heart then I want as best quality pictures as possible then I will take pictures with my DSLR.
If you’d like to have a great DSLR for either professional or for a hobby then I would recommend Nikon D610 or Nikon D800/D800E which they are one of the most excellent DSLR cameras and they are professional level of cameras. Here are the links so you can take a look at these recommended DSLRs:
Out of these recommended DSLRS I would recommend the 800E the most although their Nikon D4 is their best camera but it will cost you almost eight thousand dollars though. Then you will have to get some lens for these DSLRS and I would recommend to start it with 70-300MM ( here
Anyway, with the technology continue to improve daily it brings more fears to the photographers for losing their jobs due to cell phone cameras. I hope that the magazines, newspaper or similar businesses starts to realize that the most important thing for their magazines or newspaper is the photographs and then the texts because often their subscribers, readers or customers usually take a look at the pictures the firsthand before reading because often these pictures would give you the better idea of what they are saying. Either way I would like to let any one of you who are photographers to not give up just because if you are being laid off due to some of the companies thinking that it’d be cheaper to take pictures with their camera than hiring the professional photographers to take the pictures that are quality than the pictures from their phones! Have a faith as there are still some of the places that needs photographers and not somebody who takes pictures with their cell phone, which I would suggest that you consider to start your own photography business because that is what I did and it is working as there are still some of the people especially models who needs some photographs done to be added to their portfolio because some agencies requires them for their submissions into magazines industries or a photography industries.
