Few of days ago I decided to add a new feature on here where the readers of JoshiesWorld could submit some of the ideas for me to write about something or on something which can be found here. Ever since the day I created what calls “Submit Your Ideas” has been succeed, more than I would have expected as I have receive several e-mails with some interesting ideas on what I should write or on so one person asked me to write about what getaways and vacation spots I would recommend and I decided to take on that. Some time ago I took a vacation with my mother and few friends to Tennessee for a week stay in a huge area called Pigeon Forge where it has several places and things for anyone to go or to do, I loved going there to a point where I went there twice in a year which I rarely would go to some place twice in a year as I usually prefer to not going same place I have been before for vacation unless I truly like the place and Pigeon Forge is one of them.

Some of us know that in Pigeon Forge is famously known for Dolly Wood where everyone can go and enjoy some of wild rides that are owned by the country singer female Dolly Parton and the Dolly Wood is considered one of the biggest roller coaster place other than few roller coaster places like Six Flag and others. If you ever decide to take a trip to Pigeon Forge in Tennessee in United States of America then I would recommend you to visit Dolly Wood but be advised that Dolly Wood has several rides and things to do which when anyone usually go to Dolly Wood, they would stay there for several hours as like I said Dolly Wood has several rides to choose and several things to choose to do so be sure you wear some comfortable clothes and bring necessary things such as extra clothes if you are going to take on some of their water rides which is one of my favorite rides and if you have children then be sure to bring extra diapers and such because once you go there, you will end up not knowing that you have spent six hours there and you are not even halfway done.
In Pigeon Forge Dolly Wood is not the only place for fun to do as there are several places to go to have some fun at, especially in Gatlinburg as some zoo and several more. Pigeon Forge in Tennessee is a very big place that is full with thousands of places and several ways to have fun, such as zip-lining, riding helicopters and many of others. When you arrive in Pigeon Forge in Tennessee, you will not need to drive your car again until the day you are leaving to go back home and if you don’t like to walk long then you don’t need to worry as they have trolley service which is buses where you will only pay just few cents to take you to anywhere you would like to go so that is a plus and not only that it is very fun to ride in a trolley because you get to see everything that offers. If you are in a wheelchair then don’t worry as all the trolleys bus has handicap accessible, and if you are wanting to take a ride in trolley all you would have to find the trolley signs that has a picture of a bear and the signs is almost every quarter of a mile on the sidewalk so you wouldn’t have to walk long to get to a trolley waiting spot beside most of the hotels has the signs in front of them so you would just walk out of the hotel and wait in front of the hotel for the trolley to arrive because every trolleys takes a turn.
In Pigeon Forge there is three parts that trolley takes you, as like I said it is a huge place filled of places and fun and these three parts would be Pigeon Forge, Sevierville and Gatlinburg. The best would be Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge too but sevierville is a bit small place but has few of good places for you to go to such as Titanic to look at their memoirs and others but Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is definitely the places for you to have fun and to go to. In Pigeon Forge most of the people would usually walk all over the places as there is several different places to go which is arcades, rides, restaurants, candy shop, shopping center (mall) and few more but at the end of Pigeon Forge has a beautiful river that you should consider to take a look at which also is where one of the trolleys service center is at where it will take you from Pigeon Forge to Sevierville and then to Gatlinburg. The DollyWood is in part of sevierville if you are wondering but in Pigeon Forge there is few of places that everyone likes to go is the Great Smokey Mountain Wheel where it has one of the biggest wheel ride that you can ride, I would recommend for you to try it on both day and night as it is open at night and is more beautiful as it lights up – If you have a wife or a husband, perfect romantic place to go!
If you are outdoors enthusiast like I am then you should go to the Great Smokey Mountain national park where you can go hiking and horseback riding. You want a place that is more extreme adventures?, no problem! Try their whitewater rafting which is very challenging to do where you would be kayaking in rough water against rocks or as I have mentioned zip lining!
If you want to enjoy your time walking around to look and shop, or to eat then I highly recommend you to get a trolley ride to Gatlinburg because down at Gatlinburg is even bigger than Pigeon Forge with more of places to go and things to do for fun such as taking on an elevator to the top at the space needle where you will be seeing almost the entire of Gatlinburg and if you think that is not much then you are mistaken as Gatlinburg is huge with several miles all around to walk and thousands of places to go. They have ski resort and amusement park, Aquarium, Golf Course, Aerial Tramway ride, many festivals, cars shows, theaters, candy factory, wining, distilleries/wineries for taster, live concerts/events and many more. So you would have plenty of places and things to do for fun in all three parts of Pigeon Forge, Sevierville and Gatlinburg, but I recommend Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg as both is huge places filled with places to go and fun things to do although if you do want to go to DollyWood you would have to go to sevierville which the trolleys service would take you as they will all of Pigeon Forge, Sevierville and Gatlinburg for only few cents (25, 50 and 75 cents per person).
Any one of you who look for a trip for vacation then this is the place for you and it is best alternative if you are not going to a beach, no beach? Then Pigeon Forge. If you are wondering what hotel should you stay at if you choose to go to this place then I would recommend Mountain Vista INN & Suites as it has indoor heated swimming pool, free breakfasts and free wi-fi to surf on the internet at night after being out all day. Mountain Vista INN & Suites owner is great and willing to give you a reasonable price for a room as we only paid $60 a night and that was presidential suite with jacuzzi tub and two separated private bed rooms, living room, kitchen, and balcony view along with optional extra bedroom that has two kings beds and bathroom (its next door sharing same the door from inside) and is located right in the heart of Pigeon Forge. We only would book and stay at that hotel every time we take a trip to Pigeon Forge due to great employees, service and good-looking rooms.

I took a week vacation in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and I couldn’t have enough where I wished to stay a bit longer as I still have plenty of things to do down there but I had to leave to come home due to no extra clothes and other necessary things that I need so if any one of you decide to take a trip to Pigeon Forge for a vacation then I would suggest you all to take extra of stuff along with few thousands of dollars because you are going to wish that you have more money with you as there is many of places that lures you in and make you wish that you have more spending budget, although some of the people who I had with me only had few hundred of dollars and was able to make it through the week but the people did not spend on hotel or anything, so I would suggest few thousands for especially if you are bringing in your family.
