Popeyes Chicken Sandwich

I wouldn’t have a chance to try the Popeyes foods especially their chicken sandwich or any other foods from there because we don’t have any Popeyes restaurant nearby but thanks to one of my mother’s friend as she lives several hours away from us coming in for a visit and brought us some chicken sandwiches from there for us to try. This is not a restaurant review, as I haven’t been there nor have I try more than their chicken sandwich so this is based on their chicken sandwich only, therefore, a product review coming from none other than the very Popeyes!

I am not crazy about chicken, chicken patties or any chicken product although I do eat them whenever I crave for them which is once in every a while and this chicken sandwich from Popeyes found its way to our stomach yesterday so I decided to have the Popeyes chicken sandwich as my yesterday’s dinner. I am a big fan of their competitor, Wendy’s chicken sandwich and Wendy’s is the only restaurant that I wouldn’t mind eating a chicken sandwich or chicken products because Wendys make them really good enough for me to be willing to eat them especially that I rarely eat chicken products. But this was before I finally tried the chicken sandwich from popeyes, it truly confuses me to which one I would prefer and I must say that Popeyes does chicken products a justice enough for me to almost choose them over Wendy’s or over any other restaurants that offer chicken products which is a huge compliment from me considering that I am very picky when it comes where the chicken products come from because they are the reason that I once in a great while eat them because some chicken products from some restaurants or business don’t make chicken products that I think taste good. 

Popeyes chicken sandwich has a juicy but not overly greasy that would stop your heart or come close to stopping your heart, the breading flavor and as well the juice flavor coming from the chicken were delicious I admit. What’s even more important to me is that their chicken wasn’t tough or chewy, which that’s the very reason I became very picky when it comes to chicken products because of their texture and some of them can completely lose my appetite but to my surprise that Popeyes chicken sandwich has the all right texture for me so it was pleasing for me to eat although the tiniest thing that I dislike is some area is too big but again that does tell us that their chicken is real so everyone has their preference in how big or small of chicken they like but when it comes to the real chicken you really can’t control the size because they come as they are which is what makes them real. Definitely not a breaking point for me so it was still pleasing for me to eat, although what I was more pleased with was their chicken flavor because some restaurants or business makes chicken bland while making good flavor in breading to make up for but Popeyes chicken was definitely not bland, it has great flavor and at the same time great flavor breading so that’s a double whammy unlike some would only have bland chicken with flavor breading so because of that it was a pleasure for me to eat Popeyes chicken sandwich for the first time although I do wish that I could eat them straight out of their fryer because I had to reheat mine as I got mine from several hours away from a friend so by the time they arrived here it was already cold.

So, I imagine that it would be even more pleasing because by reheating can take a bit of flavor away – almost as if you shake a can of pop/soda and you’d lose that sugary flavor to flat flavor but I can imagine that they are very delicious especially that my reheated Popeyes chicken sandwiches were already delicious anyway so that says something! If you have Popeyes near you, you are definitely lucky! I hope that one day I will get to actually eat their foods without having to reheat them and that I will be able to finally review Popeyes as a business review instead of only one of their foods. Come to Pikeville, Ky (hint Popeyes!). Based on this, I am rating 3.7 and I am sure that if I had to eat them straight out of the restaurant that the rating would definitely be higher especially in the 4s rating. Now, back to the question between Wendy’s and Popeyes chicken sandwich – I honestly cannot answer that because they are that good! I recommend their popeyes chicken sandwich and I am hoping that one day I will be able to try other foods from there especially that they are not reheated! Now, Popeyes is definitely on my list along with Wendy’s that has my approval in chicken products which I am glad because I almost cannot find any others so again that is a big compliment for Popeyes as well!
