I have been seeing a lot of Deaf people on social media starts to use a mix of American Sign Language and International Sign Language which can be very confusing for a lot of people including myself. What is more bothersome is that some copy the signs from International Sign Language with American Sign Language, telling people that they are American Sign Language when they aren’t even American Sign Language because they are signs from International Sign Language and uses them with American Sign Language can be very confusing for some. There are some people in a group calls “ASL That!” where they would learn some new signs for some words in American Sign Language obviously since the group are all about ASL aka American Sign Language and I have noticed that some Deaf people along with other people who know sign language (interpreters or codas) in the group or even outside the group would use the sign for people from International Sign Language thinking that it is the new sign or modernized sign for American Sign Language when they are not as they are being copied from International Sign Language. I would like to remind many of you with a disclaimer for this that this is my view, my thought and my perception of what I see out of the people’s perception on the Deaf people because every Deaf and Hard of Hearing have different experiences, therefore, they can share what it is to be under the microscope of the people who we labeled “hearies”. There are hundreds or thousands of news outlets, including the big names of news companies, medium companies, and unknown companies, that everybody reads daily to gather information about what is happening in this country, whether in the United States or internationally. Some people don’t follow or keep up with current events or news about what is happening locally, nationally, and globally. But several people do keep up with the news, including myself, so we can be informed about what is happening in our country here in the United States or in other countries. There are a few services that allow some of us to personalize some news that we would like to get daily under our favorite sources, such as Google News, Yahoo News, Bing News, and some news apps like that news app in iOS 10 that allows you to personalize the way news you want them to come to you. My go-to for getting some information and news is Google News, which allows me only to get most of the news from the sources/news outlet that I prefer, and there is other news related that I personalized to get. Some of you know, some of you don’t know that I have been in journalism as a blogger for more than eight (8) years and in past these years I often would feel the fire in my fingers to start typing up some articles for here at JoshiesWorld.com. However for some reason of lately I have been blanked, getting to nowhere and I feel as if I can never think of anything to blog about anymore these days for some unknown reasons. In other words it’s getting somewhat more difficult for me to come up with something to write about for an article, I don’t know if it means that I am losing passion in blogging or losing the motivation to blog about anything.
