Tidbits (2/8/2016).

Forgive me as I haven’t written a tidbits article in a very long time as it seems and the reason for that is because either that I have been very busy due to my hectic schedules or don’t have enough of topics for it to be a tidbits article. As some of you know that tidbits article has more than one topic which that tends to make it a long article for the readers to read and to my knowledge there are many readers here at JoshiesWorld.com likes tidbits because it involves more than just one topic which can get boring sometimes as tidbits article has more than one topic so that means something more to read for the readers. Every now and then I like reading long articles but that depends on what it’s about, if it’s tidbits article then that is the kind of long reading article that I like but if just one topic but a very long article to read can be boring sometimes unless the bloggers know how to keep the readers interested without allow the long article of only one topic to become boring.

In case if you never have or don’t know what tidbits article are I suggest you to head over on at the top above here to look for a search box and type “tidbits” in the search box then you will get a list of few tidbits article that I have written in the past along with a few of them explaining what tidbits article are all about.

Superbowl 50

Any of you who are a fan of the football loves watching Superbowl sometimes, of course especially your favorite team if they were able to make it past the playoff and if they don’t then it’s disappointing but being a fan of football you couldn’t restrain yourself from watching Superbowl even if your favorite team isn’t there. This year Superbowl 50 were Denver Broncos against North Carolina Panthers, with the old aged quarterback behind the wheel of Denver Broncos Peyton Manning while a very young aged quarterback behind the wheel of North Carolina Panthers Cam Newton and with that it was expected to be interesting because it shows us who truly have the skill to win the Superbowl. Old VS Young kind of thing and before the Superbowl arrived I thought that it was going to be very interesting game between both teams and after watching a bit of Superbowl 50 I became bored quickly which is somewhat unusual but there’s a reason behind that though. With how good North Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton have played this season with several winning streak and that same goes for the Denver Broncos but the difference is that Denver Broncos is already an experienced team that have arrived Superbowl before or especially in the playoff.

For that I expected both side of teams to play their top game, their true caliber of what they have played since the season one and my expectation did not…. Met. Why? Only one thing I can say is that I have a question and that is how in the heck can North Carolina Panthers with Cam Newton behind the wheel quickly became a different looking team than they ever have been in this entire season? Too many fumbles, too many turnovers and they just couldn’t get up to par as they have been in this past seasons. To top it off the North Carolina Panthers have played against a tougher team than Denver Broncos and yet they lost to Denver Broncos in the Superbowl 50 with 10-24 score? Unbelievable if you ask me.

Putting the teams on side but still on Superbowl 50. What disappoint me more than anything is the National Anthem. The channel that host the Superbowl 50, CBS did not put a camera on Marlee Matlin who’s American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter that interpret National Anthem for the Deaf community while the Lady Gaga sings vocally for the fans who’s able to hear so CBS channel left Deaf community out intentionally as it seems and Marlee Matlin is one of hollywood’s icon especially for the Deaf community since she is the first Deaf actress to win Oscars award for Children of a Lesser God in 1987. Many members of Deaf community had hoped that Marlee Matlin would be signing National Anthem alongside Lady Gaga like she did with Garth Brooks in 1993 for Superbowl XXVII. If not then it was at least hoped that CBS would add a screen of Marlee Matlin signing (not singing – signing) of National Anthem in the corner on live television but unfortunately that did not happen so that angered many Deaf individuals.

Nonetheless I congratulate Denver Broncos for winning the Superbowl and for Peyton Manning to win a 2nd Superbowl which he obviously deserves it but I agree with everybody else that I think Peyton Manning should retire now so to go out with the bang while at the same time I congratulate Marlee Matlin for signing National Anthem for the third time at Superbowl. I would congratulate Marlee Matlin myself via Twitter but she have me blocked though so hopefully she sees it here instead or somebody close to her sees it then tell her.

Speaking of Television

By now I would not be surprised if almost everybody in the United States and some other countries have Netflix, Hulu or Amazon Primetime by now for streaming movies or television shows. Of course I have them, Netflix and Hulu but not Amazon Primetime yet. The only reasons that I have both is because of watching some television shows which here I am going to recommend a few of good television shows titles for both services that I have watched recently.

Hulu

  • Marvel’s Agent Carter
  • Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
  • DC The Arrow
  • DC The Flash
  • DC Legends of Tomorrow
  • The 100
  • Sleepy Hollow
  • The Fear Walking Dead.
  • Shades of Blue
  • Shadowhunters
  • Zero Hour
  • The Last Man On Earth
  • Second Chance
  • Vikings

Hulu only stream the newest/latest 5 episodes which that is the only downside about subscribing to Hulu but it’s great for if you are one of these people who often miss new episodes or have a messed up sleeping schedules like I do thanks to my hectic schedules.

Netflix

  • Z-Nation
  • The 100
  • DC The Flash
  • DC The Arrow
  • Marvel’s Carter
  • Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..
  • The Beast and Beauty
  • Torchwood
  • The Walking Dead
  • Marvel’s Jessica Jones
  • Supernatural
  • Blacklist
  • Leverage
  • Grey’s Anatomy
  • iZombie
  • Marvel’s Darevil

Good news for the video-streaming lovers is that the downside Hulu has is what Netflix have which that means Netflix carry all seasons while Hulu only carry 5 latest episodes of each shows while Netflix carry all seasons that was aired on television and the only downside of Netflix is that the new season comes out on television you have to wait until the next year season before Netflix adds this year season to the list. For example The Walking Dead have 5 seasons on Netflix now and will not have 6th season until either The Walking Dead airs 7th season or not renewing for another season before Netflix can put the 6th season to its library.

So in a way, Netflix and Hulu is a great package to have because if you haven’t watched last year season or few years past seasons then you can watch them on Netflix and if you missed the new episode of the new season then you can watch them on Hulu.

Blogger And Journalist

I did some research and came to find that a few of people especially veteran journalists who have worked or still works in media outlet such as Washington Post, New York Times, New York Post, CNN or anywhere believes that blogger is not a journalist which somewhat offends many bloggers including myself but I have utterly respect for all of them though. It seems that bloggers and journalists just cannot work together to come up with a possibility of some kind partnership between both sides but it have been failed many times. In my opinion is that blogger is a journalist, journalist is blogger and they do have a common sense which is to deliver accurate information out there for the readers. Only difference I can find is reporting weather which obviously that’s something the bloggers don’t have the resources to do so although it is a possibility by using its data but still just as in journalist’s mind that it’s wrong to copy someone else works is same with some bloggers including myself. Many people have asked a question – Is blogging journalism? In my perspective it is and I say that with many respects to newspaper journalists. I realize that blogging dominated newspaper now, you can blame that on the internet and thankfully the outlets that write newspaper now write news online which is what? Either you hate it or love it – It’s blogging. You become journalist blogger and that is that with respect!

Over To You

unfortunately my time is up because I have been at this article for over two hours and don’t be shocked because many times that’s how long it takes a blogger or even a journalist to write. In fact some bloggers or journalists gather information, making a draft by writing for a month before publishing it and I say that is a true journalism with passion! Nonetheless I now only have no more than two hours before I hit the hay and that means two hours until my bed time. But I hope that all of you forgive me for not writing a tidbits article in a very long time because of my hectic schedules and I will try my best to make up for that by writing another or two more tidbits in no longer than this month if my schedule can ever allow me to do so.
