The wintry storm has hit in Kentucky specifically Pike county like it has never happened before in decades. I live in that county in Kentucky which is one of the counties that got hit the most, here we got hit so bad that we had to declare state emergency in level 3 and several of residents has lost power and some damages however luckily I live in the mountain that the power lines are under several trees which makes it harder for the outrage however only damage I had gotten was the internet and TV and I would rather that than losing any power because the power is more important than those especially for the heater to keep us all warm throughout the wintry storm.
This all had happened on Sunday night all through until Monday night, we had nonstop of it. We had a report that we would have 6-8 of ice and 4-6 of snows covering the layers of ice and in the morning on Monday the street in front of my home were nothing but ice with snows covering them and several vehicles has driven through them that had left no marks, because usually when there are some inches of snows and cars drives over them it would leave two lines marks from the both sides of vehicle tires but it was too much and severe that it wouldn’t leave any marks from the tires so that says how much of ices were on it. If you attempt to poke with a knife, I am pretty sure that it wouldn’t even go through it due to several layers of ices.
Several business and schools was closed/cancelled, even governments had to call it a day and cancelled the meetings and any duty that they had going on that day and the governments stated “We had a snow days too” which were quite humor, I think especially after all they are humans as we are.
Nonetheless, the looks from that results is quite beautiful. Maybe because where we never had that much of white in the yards and the roads in a decade, well over a decade to be precise because I remembered we had one of “big snow” in late of 90s but this year on the Sunday tops the one in late of 90s but came to quite close though because in the late of 90s I remember that we were at my grandmother for the new year eve and we couldn’t even be able to drive back home and we had to call a cab to take us home instead of having my mother to drive home because it was too slick and we didn’t want to wreck our own car or harm ourselves so we figured that it would better to have someone else to drive us home even though it may have harmed us but the damage wouldn’t be ours, however the driver of the cab were quite good at driving that got us home safely which is a plus and that is all mattered.
Not only Pike Co in Kentucky has declared state emergency in level 3, Mingo County in West Virginia had declared state emergency level 3 as well and Mingo county is a border of Pike County in Kentucky considering that Pike County of Kentucky and Mingo County of West Virginia is border between Kentucky and West Virginia, in east of Kentucky and in west of West Virginia.
Did the wintry storm on this Sunday hit your area as well? If so leave a comment and let me know if all is alright with you and your family and is there any damage that had done? I hope not, I am and my family are perfectly safe and we had no damage done.
Thank you for reading this post and I know some of you may will notice that this is the first new post I have done in several months, and I am sorry for that. It’s where I have been quite busy and I were supposed to write more posts for this blog more than often but been too busy to have any time to write and hopefully I will write another one sooner than I have been but no promise.
